Hyderabad : BJP State President N Ramchander Rao took strong objection on the remarks of AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on the document of “passport”. Opposition parties have been spreading false propaganda on SIR and misleading people, Rao alleged while addressing a press conference here. He accused both Congress and MIM parties indulging in misleading people as they did same tactics during CAA.
He said “it was a established fact that passport is not a conclusive proof of citizenship”. The Mumbai High Court in 2013 judgement made it clear that passport is a travel documents. Citing an example that spiritual leader Dalai Lama has passport, but he is not a Indian citizen, he clarified and suggested Owaisi, instead of spreading false information, he should study the rule of law who is a educated and barrister.
