Hyderabad : Dr B R Ambedkar Open University celebrating “Education Week” on “Innovation Inclusion, Institutional Excellence and Outreach” from May 11 to 17, 2026 at the university campus. As a part of this the university organized “Academic Interaction with NAAC ” on Thursday. Prof. Ganeshan Kannibiran, Director, NAAC visited Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Open University campus to review the arrangements for the upcoming workshop at the university on 27th and 28th May, 2026.
The consultative workshop is being organized by NAAC in collaboration with BRAOU and Common wealth of Learning (COL) – for the Directors of Online Education and IQAC coordinators across the country for capacity building for improving Quality Assurance Systems. Later on he had an interactive session with all the Deans and Directors of BRAOU, who informed him of the Standard Operating Procedure at their respective branches. Prof. Kannabiran was appreciative of the measures taken up by BRAOU for practicing inclusivity.
Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, the Vice Chancellor of BRAOU explained the new initiatives taken up by the university for expanding the access and affordability of its course offerings. He stated that, while simultaneously introducing free education for Adivasi tribal students, transgender individuals, and persons with disabilities, they are also entering into Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with corporate companies and taking measures to ensure that their students secure employment in renowned organizations.
