20th Asian Games-2026: టీమ్ ఇండియాకు ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహించనున్నారు దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వేకు చెందిన నలుగురు కబడ్డీ క్రీడాకారులు

Four SCR Kabaddi Players to Represent Team India at the 20th Asian Games-2026

Hyderabad : The 2026 Asian Games will take place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from September 19th to October 4th, 2026. The multi-sport event features 43 regular sports with participation of elite athletes from across 45 countries. In this regard, South Central Railway is happy to inform that four of its Kabaddi players have been selected to represent Team India at the 20th Asian Games, 2026.

The selected players are Ms. Ritu Negi, Office Superintendent/Senior Material Manager’s office, Electric Locoshed, Lallaguda; Ms. Pinky Roy, Sr. Technician/Chief Workshop Manager’s office/Signal & Telecommunication/Mettuguda in the Women’s team and Mr. Ayan Lohchab, Pro. Commercial cum ticket clerk/Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager’s Office, Secunderabad and Mr. Sumit Sangwan, Commercial cum ticket clerk/Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager’s Office, Secunderabad in the Men’s team.

These players will be part of the respective 12 member Indian Men’s and Women’s Kabaddi squads competing in the tournament scheduled from September 21st to September 26th, 2026, at the Tōkai Citizens Gymnasium, Tōkai, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The selection of four SCR Kabaddi players for the Indian contingent is a matter of great pride for South Central Railway in particular and Indian Railways in general. It also reflects SCR’s continued commitment to promoting sports and nurturing talent among its employees.

Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway congratulated the SCR players on their selection and conveyed his best wishes for their participation at the 20th Asian Games. He appreciated their dedication, hard work and achievements in the field of sports and expressed confidence that they will excel at the international platform and bring laurels to the country as well as Indian Railways and also to South Central Railway.

ఎంపికైన క్రీడాకారులు: మహిళల జట్టులో లాలాగూడలోని ఎలక్ట్రిక్ లోకోషెడ్ (సీనియర్ మెటీరియల్ మేనేజర్ కార్యాలయం)కు చెందిన ఆఫీస్ సూపరింటెండెంట్ కుమారి రీతూ నేగి మరియు మెట్టుగూడలోని సిగ్నల్ & టెలికమ్యూనికేషన్ విభాగం (చీఫ్ వర్క్‌షాప్ మేనేజర్ కార్యాలయం)కు చెందిన సీనియర్ టెక్నీషియన్ కుమారి పింకీ రాయ్; అలాగే పురుషుల జట్టులో సికింద్రాబాద్‌లోని సీనియర్ డివిజనల్ కమర్షియల్ మేనేజర్ కార్యాలయానికి చెందిన ప్రోబేషనరీ కమర్షియల్-కమ్-టికెట్ క్లర్క్ అయాన్ లోచబ్ మరియు కమర్షియల్-కమ్-టికెట్ క్లర్క్ సుమిత్ సాంగ్వాన్.

జపాన్‌లోని ఐచి ప్రిఫెక్చర్‌లోని టోకైలో ఉన్న టోకై సిటిజన్స్ జిమ్నాసియంలో, 2026 సెప్టెంబర్ 21 నుండి సెప్టెంబర్ 26 వరకు జరగనున్న టోర్నమెంట్‌లో పోటీపడనున్న 12 మంది సభ్యుల భారత పురుషుల మరియు మహిళల కబడ్డీ జట్లలో ఈ క్రీడాకారులు భాగంగా ఉంటారు. భారత కబడ్డీ బృందానికి దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే కు చెందిన నలుగురు క్రీడాకారులు ఎంపిక కావడం, దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వేకే కాకుండా మొత్తం భారతీయ రైల్వేలకు ఎంతో గర్వకారణం. ఇది క్రీడలను ప్రోత్సహించడానికి మరియు తమ ఉద్యోగులలో ప్రతిభను పెంపొందించడానికి దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే కొనసాగిస్తున్న నిరంతర సంకల్పాన్ని ప్రతిబింబిస్తుంది.
