TELANGANA BJP DEMANDS APOLOGY FROM CM REVANTH REDDY FOR HIS COMMENT AGAINST ENGINEERING STUDENTS

Hyderabad : Telangana State BJP President N Ramchander Rao strongly condemned the comment of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy who described engineering students as “ criminal waste” in the state. Rao, who is now in US, demanded CM Revanth Reddy should immediately apologise to students community particularly engineering students for his objectionable comments who also said engineering students are unable to even filling out an application form.

The comments of the CM, who is also holding education portfolio, is an insult to entire students community and defame to education system, he alleged and said such insulting and derogatory remarks are deeply objectionable. Rao alleged that the state Congress government has failed to release nearly Rs 1200 crore pending fee-reimbursement arrears and even CM Revanth Reddy is threatening college managements on the one hand and insulting students on other.

The state government has withheld the fee-reimbursement dues, placed educational institutions under severe financial pressure and jeopardised the future of lakhs of students, instead of addressing these issues, the CM has chosen to demean the students, he said. BJP state chief warned CM Revanth Reddy that if he fails to apologise to students community, BJP would unite the students and launch an agitation for insulting them.
