Hyderabad : South Central Railway celebrated the 135th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna, Baba Saheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, today i.e., 15th April, 2026 at SCR Headquarters, Rail Nilayam Auditorium, Secunderabad. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, was the Chief Guest, Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager and Siddarth Kati, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, South Central Railway were the Guest of Honour. Principal Heads of Departments, other senior officials, staff members, representatives from SC&ST, OBC associations and recognized trade unions also participated in the program and paid floral tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
Addressing the gathering, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava highlighted the enduring legacy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, whose vision shaped not only the Constitution but also India’s approach to Nation Building through education, social reform, and infrastructure. He recalled Ambedkar’s pivotal role in the Damodar Valley Project and the Comprehensive River Development Policy of 1943, which integrated Multi Modal Transportation, Irrigation, Flood Control, and Power Generation.
He mentioned the reflection on the nation’s direction, reminding that Ambedkar’s ideals of inclusivity, integrity and visionary development remain guiding principles for India’s progress, especially in strengthening Transportation and Railway Infrastructure as pillars of modern nation building. He also stated that “The greatest tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr.B.R.Ambedkar’s legacy, lies in applying professional honesty and courage”.

హైదరాబాద్ : దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే ఆధ్వర్యంలో భారతరత్న బాబాసాహెబ్ డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ 135వ జయంతి వేడుకలను ఏప్రిల్ 15, 2026న సికింద్రాబాద్లోని రైల్ నిలయం ఆడిటోరియంలో ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ప్రధాన అతిథిగా దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే జనరల్ మేనేజర్ సంజయ్ కుమార్ శ్రీవాస్తవ, గౌరవ అతిథులుగా దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే అదనపు జనరల్ మేనేజర్ సత్యప్రకాశ్ మరియు ప్రిన్సిపల్ చీఫ్ పర్సనల్ ఆఫీసర్ సిద్ధార్థ్ కటి హాజరయ్యారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో వివిధ విభాగాలకు చెందిన ప్రధాన అధిపతులు, ఇతర సీనియర్ అధికారులు, సిబ్బంది, ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, ఓబీసీ సంఘాల ప్రతినిధులు మరియు గుర్తింపు పొందిన కార్మిక సంఘాల ప్రతినిధులు కూడా పాల్గొని, డాక్టర్ బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ కి నివాళులర్పించారు.

దేశ దిశపై పునరాలోచన సందర్భంగా ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ, సమ్మిళితత్వం, సమగ్రత, దూరదృష్టితో కూడిన అభివృద్ధి వంటి అంబేడ్కర్ ఆదర్శాలు భారతదేశ ప్రగతికి, ముఖ్యంగా ఆధునిక దేశ నిర్మాణానికి మూలస్తంభాలైన రవాణా, రైల్వే మౌలిక సదుపాయాలను బలోపేతం చేయడంలో మార్గదర్శక సూత్రాలుగా నిలుస్తున్నాయని గుర్తు చేశారు. “వృత్తిపరమైన నిజాయితీ, ధైర్యాన్ని ప్రదర్శించడంలోనే భారతరత్న డాక్టర్ బి. ఆర్. అంబేడ్కర్ వారసత్వానికి మనం అర్పించగల ఘనమైన నివాళి ” అని కూడా ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ వేడుకలో భాగంగా దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే పర్సనల్ డిపార్ట్మెంట్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో “భారతదేశంలో సామాజిక న్యాయ రూపశిల్పి” అనే అంశంపై నిర్వహించిన వ్యాస రచన పోటీలో విజేతలకు జనరల్ మేనేజర్ బహుమతులు అందజేశారు. అంతకుముందు, దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వేకి చెందిన ఎస్సీ&ఎస్టీ ; ఓబీసీ ప్రతినిధులు మరియు ట్రేడ్ యూనియన్ నాయకులు డాక్టర్ బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ విజయాలు, సేవలు మరియు వారసత్వం గురించి తమ అభిప్రాయాలను వెల్లడించారు .
