Hyderabad: Eminent computer professor Medishetty Nagaratna and Dr Puppala Anil Kumar a distinguished couple were felicitated by the Lions Club of Hyderabad Royal District on the occasion of National Engineers Day.
Dr Medishetty Nagaratna Professor of Computer Science & Engineering and Controller of Examinations at Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University (JNTU), Hyderabad and Dr Puppala Anil Kumar Principal of Kamala Nehru Women’s Polytechnic College, were honored for their 25 years of service in the field of computer science and engineering.
Sri P Parameshwer Rao retired Principal of Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Mallepally Hyderabad and a resident of Old City Chatrinaka was also recognized. Chairman of Lions Club Royal Hyderabad, Shri Akula Ravinder Rao, presented the couple with a shawl and a memento.

On this occasion, it was emphasized that today’s engineers should follow the path shown by Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, an ideal for the development of the country in the field of science and technology. Visvesvaraya played a key role in the construction of Osman Sagar and many other dams.
