Hyderabad: Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook the inspection of the Carriage Work Shop (CWS), Lallaguda today. The General Manager visited the Carriage Workshop, Lallaguda and inspected all the maintenance and repair shops at the Workshop. Smt Sumana G, Chief Workshop Manager (CWM) accompanied and briefed him about the working of the Workshop. Other senior railway officials also present in the inspection.
The General Manager carried out comprehensive inspection of Carriage Workshop, Lallaguda. The General Manager commenced the inspection from Wheel Shop, further he inspected D V Overhaul section, Air Brake shop, paint shop and spring shop. During the course of inspection Smt. Sumana, CWM, Lallaguda explained the General Manager about safety procedures and safety aspects being followed by the staff during their working on the site, she also detailed the working procedures of different equipment being available at the workshop.
The General Manager also inspected the modern and advanced work stations/equipment/machinery such as LHB Work station/Manipulator, Dynamic wheel balancing machine, Shock absorber testing machine, Airbrake Sub-Stores, New Trimming shop, Optical Emission Spectrometer and Universal Testing Machine.

The General Manager appreciated the quality of work being maintained and expressed his satisfaction in adapting new technology to upgrade the working skills. He also applauded the staff and Officers in keeping green environment in the work shop duly maintaining it as scrap free unit. He emphasized that the Lallaguda work shop to be considered as one of the premier Coach Maintenance facility on Indian Railways and credited the workforce for the same.
