Hyderabad: Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway held a detailed meeting on safety of train operations across the zone at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR participated in the meeting along with Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions joined the review meeting through video conference.
Sanjay Kumar Srivastava reviewed the precautions undertaken by the zone in view of the summer season. The General Manager advised the officials to focus on fire safety measures and sensitizing the staff regularly. He instructed the officials to reiterate all the precautions related to prevent fire incidents ensuring strict compliance by the staff. He instructed the officials to be proactive in fire and smoke detective system and its maintenance. Patrolling to be strengthened on track side to avoid any fire incidents.

The General Manager while emphasizing on the safety of rolling stock, he instructed officials to adhere to strict guidelines in loading the bulk materials and avoid uneven loading. He also instructed to focus on all points and crossings. The General Manager while discussing on track safety he reviewed the cable damages, trespassing incidents, works related to barricading over the zone. He reviewed on the ongoing infrastructural work such as yard remolding, signal upgradation works and pathway on the bridges etc., wherein he instructed to speedup the works to be completed as per set target.
