Hyderabad : Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University celebrating “Education Week” on “Innovation Inclusion, Institutional Excellence and Outreach” from May 11 to 17 at the university campus. As a part of this the university organized awareness program “Mental Health and Wellbeing” on Tuesday.

Dr. Sri Krishna, Clinical Psychologist, Hyderabad attended as guest speaker for the program. Dr. Sri Krishna delivered a lecture on “Mental Health and Wellness”. He stated that mental health serves as the foundation for human rights, as well as for social and economic progress. He explained that psychologists strive to alleviate distress and foster mental resilience in every individual within society whenever they experience anxiety or face difficulties. He noted that understanding one’s emotions in healthy ways depends on factors such as self-confidence, a sense of purpose, resilience, and personal growth. Furthermore, he explained that individuals can proactively prevent health and mental issues by ensuring adequate sleep, maintaining a nutritious diet, and engaging in regular physical exercise.
