हैदराबाद : डॉ बी आर ओपन यूनिवर्सिटी में कार्यरत के उमादेवी और डी श्रीवेणी को क्रमश : उस्मानिया विश्वविद्यालय और रायलसीमा विश्वविद्यालय ने पीएचडी की उपाधि प्रदान की है। इस संदर्भ में दोनों ने अपने प्रोफेसरों, परिवार के सदस्यों, दोस्तों और सहकर्मियों का शुक्रिया अदा किया जिन्होंने उनकी Ph.D. यात्रा में उनका साथ दिया।
Hyderabad : K Umadevi and D Sriveni, working at Dr BR Open University, have been awarded PhD degrees by Osmania University and Rayalaseema University respectively. In this context, both thanked their professors, family members, friends and colleagues who supported them in their Ph.D. journey.
K. Umadevi Awarded Doctorate in Education by Rayalaseema University
K. Umadevi, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, has been awarded a Doctorate by Rayalaseema University. Rayalaseema University conferred the PhD in the Department of Education for her research titled “Effect of Early Interventions on Overall Development of Children with Developmental Disabilities.” The study was carried out under the guidance of Dr. V. Sudhakar, Retired Professor, English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU). The research clearly explains how appropriate early-stage interventions play a crucial role in the mental, social, emotional, and educational development of children with developmental disabilities.
Many have opined that achieving the PhD after years of hard work, while facing several obstacles and challenges and balancing teaching responsibilities along with family commitments, is truly commendable. On this occasion, friends, relatives, colleagues, and academicians extended their heartfelt congratulations. They stated that the research would be highly useful for inclusive education policies and for the welfare of children with developmental disabilities, and would serve as an inspiration to young researchers and teachers. K. Umadevi expressed her gratitude to her teachers, family members, friends, and colleagues who supported her throughout her PhD journey.

D. Sriveni Awarded PhD in Psychology by Osmania University
D. Sriveni, while serving at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, has been awarded a PhD in Psychology by Osmania University, bringing pride to the academic fraternity. Currently serving as Head In-Charge of the Department of Psychology at Dr. BRAOU, she pursued her doctoral research on the topic “Self-Efficacy and Work Behavior of Individuals with Intellectual Disability Working in Vocational Settings-An Intervention Study.” The research was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Saroj Arya, Retired Associate Professor, NIEPID, and was recognized by Osmania University. The study makes a meaningful contribution by highlighting the inner potential of individuals with intellectual disabilities and offering valuable insights to enhance their self-confidence and vocational skills.
Achieving this doctoral degree after years of dedicated effort, while managing family responsibilities along with academic and administrative duties, is truly commendable. Her journey stands as an inspiration to many aspiring researchers and educators. డి. శ్రీవేణి డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ ఓపెన్ యూనివర్సిటీలో ఉద్యోగం చేస్తూ ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీ నుండి సైకాలజీలో పి.హెచ్.డి. చేశారు. ప్రస్తుతం సైకాలజీ విభాగం హెడ్ ఇన్చార్జ్గా సేవలందిస్తున్న శ్రీవేణికి డాక్టరేట్ లభించడం గర్వకారణం. “వృత్తి పరమైన పరిసరాల్లో పనిచేస్తున్న మేధో వైకల్యం గల వ్యక్తుల స్వీయ సామర్థ్యం, పని ప్రవర్తన-ఒక అధ్యయనం” అనే అంశంపై ఈ పరిశోధన చేపట్టారు. డా. సరోజ్ ఆర్య, రిటైర్డ్ అసోసియేట్ ప్రొఫెసర్, NIEPID మార్గదర్శకత్వంలో నిర్వహించిన ఈ పరిశోధనకు ఉస్మానియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయం పీహెచ్డీ ప్రదానం చేసింది. ఈ అధ్యయనం మేధో వైకల్యం గల వ్యక్తుల సామర్థ్యాలను వెలికి తీసి, వారి ఆత్మవిశ్వాసం, పని నైపుణ్యాలను మెరుగుపరిచే దిశగా కీలకంగా నిలుస్తుంది.
