Hyderabad is one of India’s largest pharmaceutical hubs and often called the “Pharma Capital of India.” The key pharma areas in Hyderabad include Genome Valley (a major R&D hub located in Turkapally), the Jeedimetla Industrial Area, Patancheru (an industrial pharma zone), and Mucherla. The Hyderabad–JNPT corridor serves as a vital link between the industrial regions of Telangana and one of India’s busiest ports and helps in socio-economic growth of this region.

The introduction of dedicated Reefer rake services expected to reduce transit time, lower logistics costs, and improve supply chain reliability for exporters and domestic distributors. The deployment of the Reefer rake reflects the growing demand for reliable cold-chain solutions in India, driven by expanding pharmaceutical exports and quality preservation requirements. It is expected to create new opportunities for exporters, improve price realization, and reduce wastage. This initiative aligns with the Government of India’s vision under PM’s Gati Shakti promoting efficient, sustainable, and eco-friendly freight transportation systems.
