PRSI Resolves To Train PR Pros On AI

NMDC’s Srinivasa Rao, Coca-Cola’s Bapujee, and Metro Rail’s Anindita inducted

Hyderabad: The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) Hyderabad chapter has resolved to impart training in Artificial Intelligence for PR and Corporate Communication professionals by roping in renowned subject experts.

The Hyderabad chapter, the largest and the most vibrant in the country, at its Annual General Body meeting held in Sri Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University on Wednesday night also resolved to take up a number of programmes for the upskilling of professionals. A good number of PR, Corp Comm professionals, faculty members, and students took part in the AGM, chaired by its chairman Dr. S. Ramu.

The PRSI former national Secretary General and the Editor of ‘PR Voice’, Y. Babji, the Hyderabad chapter Secretary, K. Yadagiri, Advisor C. Ravinder Reddy, former officials of the Information and Public Relations Department, A. Subash Goud, A.L. Kismat Kumar, and M. Pramoda Rao, Railways PRO Rajesh Kalyana and others took part. “In tune with the changing technological landscape, we should come up with new training modules for professionals. If we don’t equip ourselves with technological advancements, we are out of the race,” Dr Ramu said.

The AGM thanked the PRSI national president Dr. Ajit Pathak for declaring 6th August as the National Public Relations Education Day while approving the audited statement of accounts for 2022-23. The AGB approved the formation of new committees and modifications made to the existing executive committees.

The Deputy General Manager (Corporate Communications) of the National Mineral Development Corporation, Srinivasa Rao, and the National Manager of Public Affairs and Communications of the Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Limited, KSS Bapujee, have been inducted into the EC and NC respectively. A former Secretary of the chapter R. Rajeswari Iyer and Metro Rail Chief of Communications Anindita Mookerjee Sinha have been appointed as the Advisors of the Hyderabad chapter and women’s wing respectively. A senior member of the PRSI Krishna Baji has been elevated as the Patron of the chapter.
