Hyderabad: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University organized Padma Vibhushan Kaloji Narayana Rao Memorial Lecture as part of 111th Birthday Celebrations on September 9 at its campus. The Chief Guest Prof. S. V. Satyanarayana, General Council Member, Central Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, Former Vice-Chancellor, Suravaram Pratap Reddy Telugu University, Hyderabad delivered the lecture on “Telangana Vimocanodyamam-Kaloji kavitvam”. Prof. Satyanarayana stated that Kaloji’s had worked for the development of society throughout his life and had fought for the ideology.
He said that he had enlightened the society with his straightforward writings. he used the Telangana language and dialect as well as the dialects used by the people. He said that Kaloji alone has a history of participating in many social movements that came up in Telangana Kaloji’s writings and language gained importance in the Telangana movement he used to write poetry on the problems of the people of Telangana as his problems.
He said that Kaloji’s poetry questioned the irresponsibility prevailing among the people, reminded them of responsibility from time to time, and exposed the mistakes made by leaders in relation to contemporary politics. On the one hand, he questioned the leaders and on the other hand, he warned those who implemented the laws and was an exemplary person as a responsible citizen who followed the laws himself.

Prof. G. Pushpa Chakrapani, Director Academic RAOU presided over the program, she said Kaloji stood in the front row among Telangana veterans, and reminded that during his life, he had the philosophy of Telangana language, Telangana accent and the separate statewood for Telangana. It is stated that Kaloji’s writings were the lifeblood of the Telangana movement. She also stated that Kaloji’s writings were the lifeblood of the Telangana movement. Prof.N. Rajani, Head, Department of Telugu introduced about the Chief Guest. Dr.Mahender Barla, proposed vote of thanks. The program was attended by the Directors, Deans, Heads of the branches, Teaching and Non-teaching Staff members and representatives of various service associations.

హైదరాబాద్ : తెలంగాణా విమోచనోద్యమంలో ప్రత్యక్షంగా పాల్గొని, జైలు శిక్షను అనుభవించిన ప్రజా కవి కాళోజీ నారాయణరావు అని కేంద్ర సాహిత్య అకాడమీ, (న్యూఢిల్లీ) జనరల్ కౌన్సిల్ సభ్యులు, సురవరం ప్రతాప్ రెడ్డి తెలుగు విశ్వవిద్యాలయం (హైదరాబాద్) మాజీ ఉపకులపతి ప్రొ. ఎస్వీ. సత్యనారాయణ పేర్కొన్నారు. పద్మవిభూషణ్, తెలంగాణ వైతాళికులు కాళోజీ నారాయణరావు 111వ జయంతిని పురస్కరించుకుని డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో మంగళవారం స్మారకోపన్యాసం నిర్వహించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ఆచార్యులు సత్యనారాయణ “తెలంగాణా విమోచనోద్యమం–కాళోజీ కవిత్వం” అనే అంశంపై ప్రసంగించారు.
అయన మాట్లాడుతూ కాళోజీ తన జీవితం మొత్తం సమాజాభివృద్ధికే పాటుపడ్డారని, తాను నమ్ముకున్న సిద్ధాంతం కోసమే చివరి వరకు పరితపించారన్నారు. తన ముక్కు సూటి రచనలతో సమాజాన్ని చైతన్య పర్చారన్నారు. తెలంగాణ బాష, యాసతో పాటు ప్రజలు వాడే మాండలికాలనే ఉపయోగించేవారని పేర్కొన్నారు. కాళోజీ నిరాడంబర జీవితం భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు ఆదర్శనీయం అని పేర్కొన్నారు. సామాన్య ప్రజలను చైతన్యవంతులుగా చేయడం, ప్రజల భాషలోనే సాహిత్య రచనలు చేయడం ఒక్క కాళోజీకే చెల్లిందన్నారు. తెలంగాణలో వచ్చిన ఎన్నో సామాజిక ఉద్యమాల్లో పాల్గొన్న ఘనత కూడా ఒక్క కాళోజీకే సాధ్యం అయ్యింది అన్నారు. తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమంలో కాళోజీ రచనలకు, భాషకు ప్రాముఖ్యత ఏర్పడిందన్నారు. తెలంగాణ ప్రజా సమస్యలే తన సమస్యలుగా కవిత్యం రాసేవారని ప్రొ. సత్యనారాయణ పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి అధ్యక్షత వహించిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అకాడమిక్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. జి. పుష్పా చక్రపాణి మాట్లాడుతూ విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో తెలంగాణ వైతాళికుల జయంతి సందర్భంగా డా. బి.ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో స్మారకోపన్యాసాలు ఏర్పాటు చేస్తూ వారి జీవిత విశేషాలు భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు పరిచయం అయ్యేలా, పరిశోధకులకు, చరిత్రకారులకు ఉపయోగపడేలా నిర్వహిస్తున్నామని పేర్కొoటూ ముఖ్య అతిథిని పరిచయం చేశారు. తెలంగాణ వైతాళికుల్లో కాళోజీ ముందు వరసలో నిలుస్తారని, తనజీవిత కాలం తెలంగాణ భాష, తెలంగాణ యాస, ప్రత్యేక రాష్త్ర ఆవిర్భావం అనే ధ్యాసనే ఉండేదని ఆమె గుర్తు చేసుకున్నారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో తెలుగు విభాగాధిపతి ప్రొ. ఎన్. రజని ముఖ్య అతిథిని సభకు పరిచయం చేశారు.
మరోవైపు కాళోజీ నారాయణరావు 111వ జయంతిని పురస్కరించుకొని మంగళ వారం ఉదయం అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ప్రధాన భవనంలో కాళోజీ చిత్ర పటానికి పుష్పాంజలి ఘటించి ఘనంగా నివాళులు అర్పించారు. కార్యక్రమంలో రిజిస్ట్రార్ డా. ఎల్వీకే రెడ్డి, ప్రొ. ఆనంద్ పవార్, ప్రొ. వడ్డాణం శ్రీనివాస్, ప్రొ. పల్లవీ కాబడే, పలువురు డీన్స్, డైరెక్టర్స్, అన్ని ఉద్యోగ సంఘాల నాయకులు, అధ్యాపక, అధ్యాపకేతర సిబ్బంది తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
