हैदराबाद: टीपीसीसी एनआरआई सेल गल्फ के संयोजक सिंगरेड्डी नरेश रेड्डी ने खाड़ी श्रमिकों के कल्याण के लिए जल्द ही पेश होने वाले तेलंगाना बजट में 500 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित करने की मांग की है। उन्होंने शनिवार को हैदराबाद में कांग्रेस पार्टी कार्यालय गांधी भवन में एक संवाददाता सम्मेलन में यह बात कही। उन्होंने कहा कि 2014 में टीआरएस ने अपनी चुनावी योजना में खाड़ी श्रमिकों के कल्याण के लिए किए गए वादों को पूरा नहीं किया।
హైదరాబాద్ : త్వరలో ప్రవేశపెట్టనున్న తెలంగాణ బడ్జెట్ లో గల్ఫ్ కార్మికుల సంక్షేమానికి రూ. 500 కోట్ల బడ్జెట్ కేటాయించాలని టిపిసిసి ఎన్నారై సెల్ గల్ఫ్ కన్వీనర్ సింగిరెడ్డి నరేష్ రెడ్డి కోరారు. శనివారం హైదరాబాద్ లోని కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ కార్యాలయం గాంధీ భవన్ లో విలేఖరుల సమావేశంలో ఆయన మాట్లాడారు. 2014 లో టిఆర్ఎస్ ఎన్నికల ప్రణాళికలో గల్ఫ్ కార్మికుల సంక్షేమానికి ఇచ్చిన హామీలను నెరవేర్చలేదని అన్నారు.
గత ఎనిమిదిన్నర ఏళ్లలో 1700 మంది తెలంగాణ వలస కూలీలు గల్ఫ్ దేశాలలో వివిధ కారణాలతో మృతి చెందారు, ఇందుకు శంషాబాద్ విమానాశ్రయం పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ లో శవపేటికల రిజిస్టర్ సాక్ష్యం అని సింగిరెడ్డి నరేష్ రెడ్డి అన్నారు. కేసీఆర్ ఇచ్చిన హామీ ప్రకారం గల్ఫ్ మృతుల కుటుంబాలకు ప్రభుత్వం ద్వారా రూ.5 లక్షల ఎక్స్ గ్రేషియా చెల్లించాలని ఆయన కోరారు. గల్ఫ్ నుంచి వాపస్ వచ్చిన కార్మికుల పునరావాసం, పునరేకీకరణ గురించి ప్రత్యేక పథకాలు ప్రవేశ పెట్టాలని, సమగ్ర ఎన్నారై పాలసీలో భాగంగా గల్ఫ్ కార్మికుల సంక్షేమ బోర్డు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ఆయన కోరారు.
ఏటా రూ.18 వేల కోట్ల విదేశీ మారకం
ప్రస్తుతం గల్ఫ్ దేశాలలో నివసిస్తున్న 15 లక్షల మంది తెలంగాణ వలస కార్మికులు ఒక్కొక్కరు రూ.10 వేల చొప్పున ప్రతినెలా 1,500 కోట్ల రూపాయల విదేశీ మారక ద్రవ్యాన్ని పంపిస్తున్నారని టిపిసిసి ఎన్నారై సెల్ చైర్మన్ అంబాసిడర్ డా. బి. ఎం. వినోద్ కుమార్ అన్నారు. ఈ విధంగా ఏడాదికి 18 వేల కోట్ల రూపాయల చొప్పున గత ఎనిమిదిన్నర ఏళ్లలో ఒక లక్ష 53 వేల కోట్ల రూపాయలు తెలంగాణకు చేరి ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థ బలోపేతానికి దోహదపడిందని ఆయన అన్నారు.
ఈ డబ్బు వినియోగంలోకి వచ్చి కనీసం 10 శాతం స్థానిక పన్నుల ద్వారా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి గత ఎనిమిదిన్నర ఏళ్లలో 15 వేల 300 కోట్ల రూపాయల ఆదాయం సమకూరిందని వినోద్ కుమార్ అన్నారు. కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి విదేశీ మారకం రూపంలో, రాష్ట్రానికి పన్నుల రూపంలో గల్ఫ్ కార్మికులు మేలు చేస్తున్నారు. ఎడారి ఎండలో తమ చెమట చుక్కల ద్వారా సంపాదించిన సొమ్మును స్వదేశానికి పంపిన వలస కూలీల సంక్షేమాన్ని కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు విస్మరించాయని జగిత్యాల జుల్లా కాంగ్రెస్ కార్యదర్శి గోపిడి ధనుంజయ రెడ్డి అన్నారు.
Budget should be allocated for the welfare of Gulf workers
Hyderabad: TPCC NRI Cell Gulf Convenor Singireddy Naresh Reddy requested that a budget of Rs. 500 crore be allocated for the welfare of Gulf workers in the Telangana budget to be presented soon. On Saturday (28.01.2023) he spoke at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Congress Party office in Hyderabad. He said that TRS did not fulfill the promises made for the welfare of Gulf workers in its 2014 Election Manifesto.
Singireddy Naresh Reddy said that 1700 Telangana migrant workers died in the Gulf countries due to various reasons in the last eight and a half years, and the register of coffins at Shamshabad Airport Police Station is a proof of this. He asked the government to pay Rs 5 lakh ex gratia to the families of the Gulf dead as per KCR’s promise. He asked for the introduction of special schemes for the rehabilitation and reintegration of workers who have returned from the Gulf and to establish a welfare board for Gulf workers as part of the comprehensive NRI policy.
18K crore foreign exchange every year
At present 15 lakh Telangana migrant workers living in Gulf countries are sending 1,500 crores of foreign exchange every month at the rate of Rs.10,000 each, TPCC NRI Cell Chairman Ambassador Dr. BM Vinod Kumar said. As per the calculation, 1 lakh 53 thousand crore rupees have reached Telangana in the last eight and a half years at the rate of 18 thousand crore rupees per year and contributed to the strengthening of the Telangana economy, he said.
Vinod Kumar said that this money has been utilized in the domestic economy and at least 10 percent of the local taxes have earned the state government an income of 15,300 crore rupees in the last eight and a half years. Gulf workers are benefiting the central government in the form of foreign exchange and taxes to the state.
Gipidi Dhanunjaya Reddy of Jagtial District Congress Secretary said that the central and state governments have neglected the welfare of the migrant workers who send their hard earned money to the motherland. This money earned by their sweat in the desert sun.
