Hyderabad : Telangana State BJP President N Ramchander Rao today strongly condemned comments of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process who alleged that BJP is trying to come to power by selectively deleting targeted votes through SIR.
He was addressing a gathering after welcoming a group of youth leaders belonging to OBC and Munnuru Kapu associations into BJP who worked for BRS in Secunderabad earlier. A contingent of BRS youth leaders joined in BJP in the presence of state party president N Ramchander Rao who welcomed them by draping party shawls.
Rao termed it absurd for the CM to allege that the BJP is trying to come to power by selectively deleting targeted votes through SIR. Pointing out that elections in Kerala were conducted after completing the SIR process where the Congress party won. He asked what would be comment of CM Revanth Reddy on Keralam election results and questioned how the process could be linked exclusively to BJP’s electoral success.

He criticized the CM for making false allegations out of fear of defeat, driven by growing public opposition to the Congress government and BJP’s rising popularity in national surveys.
BJP state chief further alleged that the Congress government is misusing official machinery under the pretext of the SIR process to plot the removal of voters favorable to the BJP. He noted strong suspicions regarding the targeted deletion of lakhs of BJP supporters’ votes, particularly in the Secunderabad Parliamentary Constituency. He also accused the government of intentionally trying to erase the votes of people who migrated from neighboring Telugu states, settled locally, and support the BJP. He expressed outrage that even the family members of key BJP leaders are being harassed with notices under technical pretexts.
Reminding that field-level Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are state government employees, he urged them to perform their constitutional duties impartially without yielding to illegal pressure from the ruling party. Citing past action taken against officials involved in irregularities in Khammam district, he warned that legal action would be pursued and formal complaints submitted to the Election Commission of India with proof if anyone acts against rules here.
Rao expressed deep distress over the total collapse of the state’s education system under Congress rule. Pointing out that while the national average budget allocation for education stands at 14.5 per cent Telangana allocates a dismal 9 per cent, which he called shameful. Since the Chief Minister himself holds the Education portfolio, he asserted that CM Revanth Reddy must take full responsibility for the decline of the sector. He challenged the CM to personally visit Osmania University hostel where he had study and speak with students to understand their deplorable living conditions.
Faulting the CM’s statement that teachers’ issues would be resolved in two years, BJP state chief questioned what a government incapable of delivering in three out of its five years could possibly achieve in the remaining two. He highlighted that retired teachers are suffering without pensions, while serving teachers face delayed salaries and promotions. Due to unpaid fee reimbursement dues, private colleges are forced to pay faculty half-salaries. He voiced anger over unfilled professor posts in universities and vacant teacher positions in schools.
Demanding that the government refrain from damaging technical education in the name of integration, he assured full support to polytechnic students and promised that the BJP would safeguard their courses and certificates. He asked the Congress government which boasts of bringing thousands of crores in investments from Davos trips to release a comprehensive White Paper detailing the actual number of industries established and jobs created. He made it clear that the BJP will not tolerate any attempt to impose a curriculum contrary to Indian culture and heritage.
Rao advised the government to respect teachers and safeguard their high position in society instead of humiliating them. He stated that the credit for driving employees, students, farmers, teachers, and electricity workers onto the streets goes solely to this government. He affirmed that once the BJP assumes power, it will significantly increase the education budget, transparently fill all vacancies across universities and educational institutions, prioritize research, and comprehensively strengthen the education sector.
BJP chief said that youth are joining the BJP in large numbers today, drawn by the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his welfare-oriented governance. He described the joining of active OBC and Munnuru Kapu youth leaders from BRS along with their teams as a positive development, assuring that every new member would receive due respect within the party.
