Hyderabad : On the 8th death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India and ‘Bharat Ratna’ recipient, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, rich tributes were paid to him in Telangana state. After paying floor tribute to portrait of Vajpayee at BJP state headquarters here , BJP State President Ramchander Rao, who participated in this event, recalled the distinguished services rendered by Vajpayee to the nation and highlighted his exemplary life journey.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao stated, “Vajpayee efficiently led the country as Prime Minister for over six years. Reforms initiated during his tenure such as the construction of national highways, revolutionary changes in the telecom sector, and making LPG gas connections easily accessible even to the common man. He said reforms initiated by late Vajpayee has laid a strong foundation for the country’s development. Vajpayee’s governance period is considered a ‘Golden Era’ in Indian political history, he emphasized.
Referring to the value-based politics practiced by Vajpayee, he recalled that “even when his government faced collapse by a margin of just a single vote in Parliament, he remained a towering leader who stood firm on moral values without compromising. Vajpayee prioritized democratic values over power. There is an absolute need for today’s generation of politicians and youth to draw inspiration from those high values.”

He said “recognizing and honoring Vajpayee’s selfless patriotism and dedication throughout his life in service to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government conferred upon him the nation’s highest civilian honor, the ‘Bharat Ratna.’ Though Vajpayee is physically no longer among us, his ideals and principles will permanently endure in the heart of every Indian. Studying his life history and walking the path he showed is the true tribute the present generation can pay to him, he exhorted.
Earlier, BJP state chief participated in Jain community pravachan gathering at Exhibition ground and said the role of spiritual leaders is crucial in providing right guidance to the youth. Rao emphasized that today’s youth strictly need right direction and clear guidance and the future generation will walk on the right path only through the blessings and mentorship of great personalities like Pujya Gurudev.
He expressed immense happiness and a spiritual feeling upon taking part in the spiritual presence of Gurudev, adding that every word spoken by him regarding the coming generation is 100 per cent true to the letter. Rao emphasized that Gurudev’s teachings deeply influenced him, and affirmed that he will abide by the message given by Gurudev without fail, continuously dedicating himself to social service and human welfare.
