Hyderabad: South Central Railway reaffirmed its commitment to safety in train operations with a detailed review meeting held today at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway, presented the “Employee of the Month” Safety Awards to five employees in recognition of their dedication and alertness in preventing unsafe conditions. Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions joined the review meeting through video conferencing.
The awards were presented to the frontline staff including Loco Pilots, Pointsman, Asssistant Traction Distribution (Electrical) and Keyman in appreciation for the alertness, punctual, perfection and dedication in the duty. The Division wise distribution of awardees is as follows: Secunderabad Division – 03; Hyderabad Division – 01 and Nanded Division – 01. Congratulating the awardees, the General Manager appreciated their devotion and sincerity in discharging duties, emphasizing that such recognition would inspire and motivate other employees to remain vigilant and uphold safety standards in train operations.
Sanjay Kumar Srivastava reviewed the working of High Energy Absorbing Dead End Buffer Stops provided at Terminal Stations. He also took stock on trimming of trees and advised the officials to further expedite the process to ensure clear visibility of signal aspects to the crew. He highlighted the precautions and preparedness of the zone in view of the ensuing monsoon months.

Further, the General Manager stated that “Monsoon preparedness is not just a seasonal protocol—it’s a reflection of our proactive approach to passenger safety and infrastructure resilience. Every supervisor, every team member must act with urgency and precision”, he added.
