PRSI Hyderabad Chapter Holds 55th Annual General Body Meeting, Charts Roadmap for Professional Excellence

Hyderabad : The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Hyderabad Chapter, Telangana State, successfully conducted its 55th Annual General Body Meeting today at the Press Club, Hyderabad, under the theme “Striving for Professional Excellence.” PRSI Hyderabad Chapter Secretary K. Kalyan gave this information in a press release.

The meeting was presided over by Chapter Chairman Dr. Yadagiri Kambhampati. In his welcome address, Dr. Kambhampati briefed members on the Chapter’s activities during 2025–2026 and thanked them for their support and contribution, which helped the Chapter win the Best Chapter Award and Best Secretary Award at the 47th All India Public Relations Conference held in Dehradun.

Key Decisions and Highlights of the 55th AGM

  1. New Appointments and Membership
    Sreekar Reddy, CEO, PR Sutra, assumed charge as Vice Chairman.
    Dr. Biksha Kethavath, Prex, AIR was inducted as a Member of the Executive Committee.
    Dr. Samala Venu m, International Illusionist was inducted as a new National Council Member, taking the Chapter’s National Council strength to seven.
    Pramod Rao, Past Chairman was nominated as Advisor.

The Chapter reaffirmed its “Each One Bring One” initiative as part of its membership drive.

  1. Financial and Infrastructure Decisions
    Fifty percent of the new membership fee will be allocated to the Corpus Fund to strengthen the Chapter’s financial sustainability.

The Chapter is actively exploring office premises at Samachar Bhavan, Masab Tank, Press Academy, Chapel Road, and other suitable locations.

  1. Major Initiatives for 2026–2027
    PRSI Student Forum: Lectures and programs are planned across 13 institutions through MoUs entered into by PRSI Hyderabad.
    PR from Board Room to Class Room: Three MoUs have been signed with schools in the twin cities and several student interaction sessions have already been conducted.
    Past Chairpersons’ Council: A memorial lecture on the late N.L. Narasimha Rao, who served as Chairman for five terms and was regarded as a pillar of the institution, will be organized. Y. Babji assured that the PCC will support the Chapter in organizing several awareness programs.
  2. Publications and Events
    The 74th edition of Public Relations Voice for January–June 2026, edited by Y. Babji, was released by the Chapter Chairman and Secretary.
    Members appreciated the successful conduct of the 4th Telangana PR Conference.
    Secretary K. Rajesh presented the Annual Report of Activities for 2025–2026 and proposed the vote of thanks. He especially acknowledged NMDC as a major supporter and sponsoring partner of the Chapter’s initiatives.
    The AGM concluded with a renewed commitment to advance the PR profession in Telangana through capacity building, industry outreach, and digital-first communication.
