Sanjay Kumar Srivastava GM/SCR Presents ‘Employee of the Month’ Safety Awards to Employees

Hydeabad: South Central Railway reaffirmed its commitment to safety in train operations with a detailed review meeting held today at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway, presented the “Employee of the Month” Safety Awards to fourteen employees in recognition of their dedication and alertness in preventing unsafe conditions.

Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR, participated in the meeting along with all Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, and Nanded Divisions joined the review meeting through video conference.

The awards were presented to the frontline staff including Track Maintainers, Point’s man, Technicians, Train Managers, Station Masters and Loco Pilots in appreciation for the alertness, punctual, perfection and dedication in the duty. The Division wise distribution of awardees is as follows:

Guntakal Division – 05, Hyderabad Division – 03, Vijayawada Division – 02, Guntur Division – 02 Secunderabad Division – 01 and Nanded Division – 01. Congratulating the awardees, the General Manager praised their devotion and sincerity in discharging duties, emphasizing that such recognition would inspire and motivate other employees to remain vigilant and uphold safety standards in train operations.

Sanjay Kumar Srivastava reviewed the precautions undertaken by the zone in view of the summer season. The General Manager advised the officials to focus on fire safety measures and sensitizing the staff regularly. He instructed the officials to reiterate all the precautions related to prevent fire incidents ensuring strict compliance by the staff. He instructed the officials to be proactive in fire and smoke detective system and its maintenance

Patrolling to be strengthened on trackside to avoid any fire incidents. He further advised to conduct detailed analysis of fire risks and implement corrective actions to prevent fire incidents in trains, highlighting the need for vigilance and preparedness during the challenging summer months.

Further, the General Manager took stock on the provision of CCTV cameras at private sidings, goods sheds and advised the officials to further expedite the process. The General Manager reviewed the track fencing at some locations prone to trespassing and advised the officials to stay vigilant.
