BJP Telangana Hosts Special Event on PM Modi’s “Sapta Sutras” Releases Awareness Pamphlet

Hyderabad : Telangana state BJP unit today organized a special programme and released a pamphlet focusing “seven sutras” (seven points) outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and urged people to contribute their share in protecting the national interest and face challenges arise in view of West Asia crisis.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing a public meeting here recently has suggested some austerity measures and appealed people to follow it which include reduce petrol and diesel consumption, avoid buying gold, prioritize work from home, usage of public transport, cut down usage of cooking oil, move towards natural forming avoidng usage of chemical fertilizers, adopt swadeshi products and avoid foreign tours to help to make national economic self-reliance.

BJP State President N Ramchander Rao attended the event as the chief guest and officially released pamphlet in English and Telugu featuring guidelines suggested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the citizens of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao emphasized that every citizen must act responsibly to strengthen the nation’s economy. “Public participation is vital in achieving the goals of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India). Factors such as consuming indigenous products, conserving energy, and encouraging domestic investments will further strengthen India’s economic future,” Rao said.

Elaborating further during his address, BJP State President called upon citizens to partner with the government in fortifying the national economy. “Patriotism does not just mean sacrificing one’s life for the country, living and serving the nation is also a profound act of patriotism,” Rao asserted. He clarified that the Prime Minister’s suggestions are not political gimmicks but were deeply rooted in national economic security and social responsibility. He underscored the urgent need to protect the domestic economy by championing local products under the “Vocal for Local” initiative.

In light of global economic conditions and inflation, Rao advised the public to practice austerity in their spending. He pointed out that the Prime Minister set a personal example by downsizing his own convoy vehicles.

Rao urged citizens to use personal vehicles only when necessary and encouraged residents of Hyderabad to utilize the Metro and other public transport systems. He further stated that corporate practices like carpooling in the IT sector and the adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs) would go a long way in conserving fuel. Drawing a historical parallel, Rao reminded critics that previous Prime Ministers, including Manmohan Singh and Indira Gandhi during the Congress regimes, had also implemented strict austerity measures during times of economic distress. Therefore, he noted, criticizing the current PM’s suggestions is unjust.

Rao shared a personal anecdote, mentioning that he recently chose public transport to attend an event, noting that top officials abroad regularly follow similar practices. He appealed to the people of Telangana to draw inspiration from the Prime Minister’s call and actively participate in building the nation.

Renowned economist Professor Dr. Krishna Reddy provided a comprehensive analysis of the “Sapta Sutras” during the event. Utilizing statistical data, he explained the current global challenges facing the Indian economy and the dynamics of foreign exchange utilization.

Professor Reddy noted that the Seven Principles outlined by the Prime Minister were not merely government policies, but a national economic movement that requires active public participation. He remarked that ordinary citizens could significantly boost the nation’s economic strength by making minor adjustments in their daily lives.

He highlighted how specific practices can significantly contribute to national economic stability including promoting the consumption of local, indigenous products, exercising responsibility in fuel and energy consumption, regulating the consumption of cooking oil, adopting natural farming practices and encouraging ‘Work from Home’ models where applicable.

The event saw the participation of BJP Telangana State Chief Spokesperson and Media In-charge N V Subhash, along with state office-bearers, official spokespersons, and media panelists.
