Hyderabad: Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway held a detailed meeting on safety of train operations across the zone today at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR participated in the meeting along with Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions joined the review meeting through video conference.
Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, emphasized the importance of proactive measures to ensure railway safety during the peak summer season. He directed officials to intensify the use of Rail Thermometers and strengthen track infrastructure to withstand extreme heat, thereby ensuring uninterrupted train operations.

General Manager instructed the Officials to conduct regular safety inspections, prioritizing ballast recouping and filling to maintain track stability. He further advised to conduct detailed analysis of fire risks and implement corrective actions to prevent fire incidents in trains, highlighting the need for vigilance and preparedness during the challenging summer months.
In addition, the General Manager reiterated the necessity of adhering to safety protocols at bridges and construction sites, advising the issuance of caution orders to field staff. He stressed the importance of tamper-proof locking of electric cables in trains to avoid hazards and called for routine checks to ensure compliance.

హైదరాబాద్ : దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే జనరల్ మేనేజర్ సంజయ్ కుమార్ శ్రీవాస్తవ జోన్ వ్యాప్తంగా రైలు కార్యకలాపాల భద్రతపై ఈరోజు అనగా 13 ఏప్రిల్, 2026న సికింద్రాబాద్లోని రైల్ నిలయంలో వివరణాత్మక సమావేశాన్ని నిర్వహించారు. ఈ సమావేశంలో దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే అదనపు జనరల్ మేనేజర్ సత్య ప్రకాష్, ప్రధాన విభాగాధిపతులతో పాటు పాల్గొన్నారు. విజయవాడ, గుంతకల్లు, గుంటూరు, సికింద్రాబాద్, హైదరాబాద్ మరియు నాందేడ్ డివిజన్లలోని మొత్తం ఆరు డివిజన్ల డివిజనల్ రైల్వే మేనేజర్లు (డి.ఆర్.ఏంలు) వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ ద్వారా సమీక్ష సమావేశంలో పాల్గొన్నారు.
సంజయ్ కుమార్ శ్రీవాస్తవ రాబోయే వేసవి కాలం దృష్ట్యా రైలు కార్యకలాపాల నిర్వహణలో భద్రతను నిర్ధారించడానికి ముందస్తు జాగ్రత్త చర్యలు తీసుకోవాల్సిన ఆవశ్యకతను నొక్కి చెప్పారు. జనరల్ మేనేజర్ రైలు థర్మామీటర్ల వినియోగాన్ని ముమ్మరం చేయాలని అధిక ఉష్ణోగ్రతలను తట్టుకునేలా మరియు రైళ్ల కదలికలను సజావుగా సాగేలా ట్రాక్లను బలోపేతం చేయడంపై దృష్టి సారించాలని అధికారులకు సూచించారు. అధికారులు క్రమం తప్పకుండా భద్రతా తనిఖీలు నిర్వహించాలని జనరల్ మేనేజర్ ఆదేశించారు. ట్రాక్ పటిష్టతను కాపాడటానికి బాలస్ట్ రీకూపింగ్ మరియు ఫిల్లింగ్కు ప్రాధాన్యత ఇవ్వాలని సూచించారు. అదనంగా, రైళ్లలో అగ్ని ప్రమాదాలపై సమగ్ర విశ్లేషణ చేసి, వాటిని నివారించేందుకు తగిన చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని సూచించారు. వేసవి కాలంలో ఎదురయ్యే సవాళ్లను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని అప్రమత్తత మరియు సిద్ధత అవసరమని ఆయన ప్రముఖంగా ప్రస్తావించారు.
సంజయ్ కుమార్ శ్రీవాస్తవ వంతెనల దగ్గర మరియు నిర్మాణ పనులు జరుగుతున్న ప్రదేశాలలో భద్రతా మార్గదర్శకాలు, జాగ్రత్తలను పాటించాల్సిన ఆవశ్యకతను ప్రముఖంగా ప్రస్తావించారు. క్షేత్రస్థాయి సిబ్బందికి హెచ్చరిక ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేయాలని సూచించారు. ప్రమాదాలను నివారించడానికి రైళ్లలోని విద్యుత్ కేబుళ్లకు ట్యాంపర్-ప్రూఫ్ లాకింగ్ యొక్క ప్రాముఖ్యతను నొక్కి చెప్తూ ,నిబంధనల పాటింపును నిర్ధారించుకోవడానికి క్రమమైన తనిఖీలు చేయాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
