హైదరాబాద్ : కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం రైతులకు ఇచ్చిన అన్ని హామీలను తుంగలో తొక్కి వారిని మోసం చేస్తుందని తెలంగాణ జాగృతి అధ్యక్షురాలు కల్వకుంట్ల కవిత మండిపడ్డారు. అధికారంలోకి రాగానే 2 లక్షల రూపాయల రుణమాఫీ చేస్తామని ప్రగల్భాలు పలికి 15 లక్షల మంది రైతులకు రుణమాఫీ ఎగ్గొట్టిందన్నారు. రైతు రుణమాఫీ కి సంబంధించిన లెక్కలపై చర్చకు రావాలని ప్రభుత్వానికి సవాల్ విసిరారు. నడిగడ్డ హక్కుల పోరాట సమితి ఆధ్వర్యంలో జోగులాంబ గద్వాల్ జిల్లాలోని గద్వాల్ పట్ణణంలో జరిగిన రైతు సంఘర్షణ సభలో పాల్గొని ఆమె మాట్లాడారు. నడిగడ్డ సీడ్ పత్తి రైతులకు జరుగుతున్న అన్యాయం పై ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. వారికి రావాల్సిన బకాయిలను ఇవ్వకుండా రైతులను వేధిస్తున్నారని ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. వారం రోజుల్లోగా రైతులకు ఇవ్వాల్సిన బకాయిలన్నీ ఇవ్వకపోతే గద్వాల్ లో పెద్ద ఎత్తున ఉద్యమం తప్పదని హెచ్చరించారు. రైతులతో కలిసి దీక్ష చేపడతామన్నారు.
రైతులకు కరెంట్, యూరియా సప్లయ్ చేయటం కూడా ప్రభుత్వానికి చేతకావటం లేదని ఎద్దేవా చేశారు. యూరియా కోసం యాప్ లో బుక్ చేసుకోవాలని ప్రభుత్వం రూల్ పెట్టటాన్నిఆక్షేపించారు. ముందు రైతులకు స్మార్ట్ ఫోన్లు ఇచ్చి ఆ తర్వాత యాప్ లో బుక్ చేసుకునే విధానం తేవాలన్నారు. రైతు భరోసాను ఈ ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎన్నికల కోసం ఇచ్చే గిఫ్ట్ చేసేశారంటూ ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఎంపీటీసీ, జడ్పీటీసీ ఎన్నికలకు ముందు రైతు భరోసా వేస్తామంటూ నిసిగ్గుగా చెబుతున్నారని ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఎన్నికలప్పుడు మాత్రమే ప్రభుత్వానికి రైతులు గుర్తు వస్తున్నారన్నారు. అటు అడవిలో అన్నలకు, ఇటు రైతన్నలకు మాత్రమే అందరూ భయపడతారని గుర్తు చేశారు. ఐతే అన్నలను కేంద్రం అమానవీయంగా చంపుతుంటే…రైతన్నలను రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం దారుణంగా ఇబ్బంది పెడుతోందని కవిత ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. రైతు ఏడ్చిన రాజ్యం బాగుపడదని…రైతన్నలను తిప్పలు పెడుతున్న కాంగ్రెస్ కు ప్రజలు కచ్చితంగా బుద్ది చెబుతారని అన్నారు. రైతన్నలకు ఇచ్చిన అన్ని హామీలను వెంటనే అమలు చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వాన్ని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
గద్వాల్ ఎమ్మెల్యే ఏ పార్టీలో ఉన్నారో కూడా చెప్పుకోలేని పరిస్థితిలో ఉన్నారని కవిత అన్నారు. బీఆర్ఎస్ తనను సస్పెండ్ చేస్తే వెంటనే ఎమ్మెల్సీ పదవికి రాజీనామా చేశానని ఆమె చెప్పుకొచ్చారు. రాజకీయాలు చేయాలంటే నిజాయితీ, ధైర్యం ఉండాలన్నారు. దమ్ముంటే గద్వాల్ ఎమ్మెల్యే ఏ పార్టీలో ఉన్నాడో ప్రెస్ మీట్ పెట్టి చెప్పాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు. ఏ పార్టీలో ఉన్నాడో చెప్పుకోలేని వ్యక్తి ప్రజలకు ఏమీ మంచి చేస్తారో ఆలోచించాలని అన్నారు. ఇక నడిగడ్డకు బీఆర్ఎస్ ప్రభుత్వం తీవ్ర అన్యాయం చేసిందని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. తుమ్మిళ్ల, నెట్టంపాడు పనులను చూస్తుంటే నత్తలు కూడా సిగ్గుపడుతాయని విమర్శించారు. కృష్ణ, తుంగభద్ర నదులు మనల్ని దాటుకొని వెళ్తున్న సరే ఇక్కడి ప్రజలకు నీళ్లు రావటం లేదన్నారు. ఇప్పుడు కాంగ్రెస్ కూడా ఇక్కడి ప్రజలను మోసం చేస్తోందన్నారు. ఇలా అయితే నడిగడ్డ రైతు ఎప్పుడు బాగుపడేదని ప్రశ్నించారు.
బీఆర్ఎస్, కాంగ్రెస్ రెండు పార్టీలు ప్రజలను మోసం చేశాయని కవిత ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ప్రభుత్వాన్ని నిలదీసి ప్రశ్నించేందుకు త్వరలోనే పార్టీతో మీ ముందుకు వస్తున్నానని మీ ఆశీర్వాదం కావాలంటూ ప్రజలను కోరారు. ప్రభుత్వాన్ని నిలదీసేందుకు కొత్త ఆయుధాన్ని సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నానని అది ప్రజలకు వజ్రాయుధం అవుతుందని కవిత అన్నారు. సర్పంచ్ ఎన్నికల్లో మా తమ్ముడు గవినోళ్ల శ్రీనివాస్ ఏకగ్రీవంగా సర్పంచ్ గా ఎన్నికయ్యారని గుర్తు చేశారు. అదే విధంగా మున్సిపల్ ఎన్నికల్లో వడ్డెపల్లి మున్సిపాలిటీని గెలుచుకున్నామని…గద్వాల్ నుంచే జాగృతి జాగృతి జైత్రయాత్ర మొదలైందని చెప్పారు. ఎవరు గెలిచినా సరే వారిని కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలోకి తీసుకెళ్లే పిచ్చి రాజకీయాలు జిల్లాలో నడుస్తున్నాయని విమర్శించారు. ఎంపీటీసీ, జడ్పీటీసీ ఎన్నికల్లో మూటలతో వస్తారని…వాళ్లు ఇచ్చింది తీసుకోని మీ కోసం పనిచేసే వాళ్లకే ఓటు వేయాలని కవిత పిలుపునిచ్చారు. మీ నెత్తి కొట్టి సంపాదించిన సొమ్మును కచ్చితంగా తీసుకోండని ప్రజలకు సూచించారు. గద్వాల్ లో అత్త, అల్లుడే కాకుండా కొత్త నాయకత్వం రాబోతుందని అన్నారు. నడిగడ్డ ప్రజల కోసం పోరాడుతున్న నడిగడ్డ పోరాట హక్కుల సమితి ఛైర్మన్ గొంగళ్ల రంజిత్ ను ఆశీర్వదించాలని కోరారు.
సభ అనంతరం రైతుల సమస్యలపై వినతి పత్రం ఇచ్చేందుకు పెద్ద ఎత్తున రైతులు వెంట రాగ కవిత కలెక్టరేట్ కు బయలు దేరారు. అయితే కలెక్టరేట్ లోపలకి వెళ్లేందుకు అనుమతి లేదంటూ పోలీసులు కలెక్టరేట్ గేట్ కు తాళం వేశారు. దీంతో అక్కడ ఉద్రిక్త పరిస్థితి నెలకొంది. పోలీసుల తీరుకు వ్యతిరేకంగా కవిత సహా రైతులు అక్కడే బైఠాయించి నిరసన తెలిపారు. అనంతరం రైతులతో కలిసి కలెక్టరేట్ లోకి వెళ్లి కలెక్టర్ సంతోష్ ను కలిసి వినతిపత్రం అందజేశారు.

Hyderabad: K. Kavitha, President of Telangana Jagruthi, launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, accusing it of betraying farmers, encouraging caste injustice, and completely failing the Nadigadda region. Speaking at the Rythu Sangarshana Sabha in Gadwal, she said the death of a two-month-old infant in Nagar Kurnool, allegedly after being assaulted in the name of caste, is a blot on Telangana and a direct indictment of the government’s failure to protect the weakest sections of society.
“This is not just an incident; it is a crime against humanity. Caste-based brutality has no place in Telangana, and this government’s silence is shameful,” she said, demanding immediate accountability and justice.
Kavitha announced that henceforth, every major Telangana Jagruthi programme would begin from Jogulamba Gadwal, asserting that the Nadigadda region has been ignored, cheated, and pushed to the margins by both BRS and Congress governments. “This land has ethics, courage, and self-respect. Any movement that begins here will shake the corridors of power,” she warned.
Strongly condemning the corporate exploitation of seed cotton farmers, Kavitha said that while Nadigadda’s seed cotton feeds the entire country, farmers are being harassed daily and denied payments even after assurances given to the district administration. “Companies are looting farmers with the full backing of the government,” she alleged, demanding that all pending dues be cleared within one week, failing which Telangana Jagruti would launch an uncompromising statewide agitation.
Attacking the Congress government’s anti-farmer policies, she said midnight power supply has turned agriculture into a life-threatening struggle. “Farmers are forced to guard their fields at night, risking their lives to snakes and scorpions. This is not governance; this is cruelty,” she said. She also slammed the government for failing to supply even basic urea fertilizer and mocked the idea of app-based booking. “First give farmers smartphones, then talk about apps. Otherwise, stop this nonsense,” she remarked.
Kavitha tore into the Congress government’s loan-waiver claims, calling them a “big political fraud.” She said promises were made to waive loans of 40 lakh farmers, but only 25 lakh were covered, leaving 15 lakh farmers betrayed. “Even small farmers with ₹50,000 and ₹1 lakh loans have been abandoned. This government lied openly and ran away from debate,” she said, demanding a complete and unconditional loan waiver for every farmer.
She accused the Congress of converting welfare schemes like Rythu Bharosa into election bribes. “For this government, farmers exist only during elections. Once votes are taken, they are forgotten,” she said. She also criticized opportunistic politics in Gadwal district, questioning MLAs who cannot even declare which party they belong to. “If you don’t have the courage to name your party, how will you fight for the people?” she asked.
Reiterating her own political integrity, Kavitha said, “When I was suspended from BRS, I resigned from my MLC post within minutes. That is what integrity looks like. Politics without courage and character is meaningless.”
She accused both BRS and Congress governments of cheating Nadigadda on irrigation. “Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers flow past us, yet Nadigadda remains dry. Tummilla and Nettampadu projects are crawling like injured snails. This is criminal negligence,” she said, questioning when farmers would finally live without fear and uncertainty.
Issuing a clear warning, Kavitha said Telangana Jagruthi is preparing a powerful democratic struggle — a “diamond weapon” — that will force the government to answer every question. She called upon people to reject money-driven politics. “Take the cash they throw at you — it is your own money. But give your vote only to those who fight for you,” she urged.
Concluding her address, Kavitha said, “A state built on farmers’ tears will never survive. This government is pushing farmers to the edge, and such a government will not last long.” She vowed to relentlessly question the government on farmers’ and women’s rights until justice is delivered, including the immediate implementation of the promised ₹2,500 assistance to women and one tola of gold for newly married women.
Earlier in the day, K. Kavitha began a rally from Ananth Function Hall in Gadwal towards the Jogulamba Gadwal District Collectorate to submit a memorandum highlighting pressing farmers’ issues. Hundreds of farmers, women farmers, and leaders of the Nadigadda Rights Porata Samithi participated in the rally.
As the rally reached the Collectorate, it turned into a padayatra. However, police denied permission to enter the premises and locked the gates, preventing the delegation from submitting the memorandum. In response, Kavitha, along with leaders of Telangana Jagruthi, Madigadda Porata Samithi, women, and farmers, staged a sit-in protest in front of the Collectorate, raising slogans demanding immediate resolution of farmers’ problems.
Later, Kavitha met the District Collector of Gadwal district and submitted the memorandum. She warned that if the problems of seed cotton farmers are not resolved within one week, Telangana Jagruthi will take to the streets and launch road blockades across the district until the issues are fully addressed.
