Telangana MP Expresses Gratitude and Concerns Over Education

Hyderabad: Telangana MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has expressed gratitude to Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan for appointing Prof. Nagalapalli Nagaraju as the full-time Vice-Chancellor of the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. The MP stated that strong, full-time academic leadership is crucial for maintaining the quality of education and administration.

However, Reddy also highlighted a pressing concern regarding the non-implementation of OBC faculty reservations in Central Universities. He pointed out that the 27% quota mandated under the Teachers’ Cadre Act, 2019, remains unfulfilled in several institutions, including EFLU, Hyderabad Central University (HCU), and IITs. The MP urged the Ministry of Education to ensure strict compliance with reservation policies and fill all sanctioned OBC faculty positions without delay.
