Hyderabad: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University organized World Environment Day at its campus on June 5. Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Vice-Chancellor, planted saplings in the Prof. G. Ram Reddy Memorial Precinct, located in front of the EMR&RC building at the university campus. He emphasized that environmental protection is a collective responsibility and suggested that the importance of the environment must be taught to students in educational institutions.

Dayakar, Directors, deans, heads of various branches, teaching and non-teaching staff, and representatives of employee associations, participated in the event and planted saplings on the campus.
