Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi Founder and BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has issued a strong warning to the Congress Government, demanding the immediate implementation of its promise to increase BC reservations in local body elections to 42%, as outlined in the Kamareddy Declaration. BRS Leader MLC Kavitha declared that elections would not be allowed until this commitment is fulfilled, cautioning of severe consequences if polls are conducted without addressing this demand.
In a meeting with over 43 BC community leaders, Telangana Jagruthi founder and BRS MLC K. Kavitha discussed strategies to pressurize the Government into acting on its promise. Daughter of BRS Supremo announced a massive public meeting “Maha Dharna” at Indira Park, Hyderabad on January 3 to intensify the movement for BC rights. MLC K. Kavitha emphasized that the Government must release BC population data and the report from the BC Dedicated Commission before proceeding with elections.
Expressing deep concern over reports suggesting the Congress government’s intent to conduct elections without increasing reservations, former MP from Nizamabad Kalvakuntla Kavitha reminded the ruling party of its pre-election assurances. She warned that any deviation from these promises would lead to statewide protests at mandal and district levels.
BRS Leader MLC Kavitha also demanded that the BJP-led central government conduct a caste-based census for BCs as part of the upcoming national census, criticizing both state and central governments for neglecting BC welfare. She accused the Congress of halting welfare schemes introduced by the previous BRS government, programs that had significantly uplifted backward and economically weaker sections.
Labeling this as the beginning of a larger movement, MLC K. Kavitha urged the public to attend the January 3 ‘Maha Dharna’ in large numbers, signaling that the fight for BC rights would only grow stronger if demands are not met. She concluded with a sharp warning: “This is just the trailer—the movie will be shown on January 3.”

హైదరాబాద్: కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ఇచ్చిన హామీ ప్రకారం స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికల్లో బీసీల రిజర్వేషన్లను 42 శాతానికి పెంచకుంటే తాము ఎన్నికలు జరగనివ్వబోమని తెలంగాణ జాగృతి అధ్యక్షురాలు, బీఆర్ఎస్ ఎమ్మెల్సీ కల్వకుంట్ల కవిత హెచ్చరించారు. కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ కామారెడ్డి డిక్లరేషన్ మేరకు రిజర్వేషన్లు పెంచిన తర్వాతే ప్రభుత్వం ఎన్నికలను నిర్వహించడంపై ఆలోచన చేయాలని, లేదంటే పెద్ద ఎత్తున ఉద్యమాలు చేపడుతామని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ బీసీలకు ఇచ్చిన హామీల అమలు కోసం జనవరి 3న ఇందిరా పార్కు వద్ద భారీ సభను నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు. దాదాపు 40కిపైగా బీసీ కుల సంఘాలకు చెందిన నాయకులు శుక్రవారం నాడు ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవితతో భేటీ అయ్యారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా బీసీల సమస్యలు, హామీల అమలు కోసం ప్రభుత్వంపై ఒత్తడి తెచ్చే కార్యచరణపై సుదీర్ఘంగా చర్చలు జరిపారు.
అనంతరం ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత విలేకరులతో మాట్లాడుతూ… స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికలు నిర్వహిండానికి ప్రభుత్వం ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నట్లు వార్తలు వస్తున్నాయని, కానీ ప్రధాన డిమాండ్ గా ఉన్న బీసీల రిజర్వేషన్ పెంపుపై స్పష్టత ఇవ్వకుండా ఎన్నికలు జరపడానికి వీలు లేదని తేల్చిచెప్పారు. స్థానిక ఎన్నికల్లో బీసీలకు 42 శాతం రిజర్వేషన్లు కల్పిస్తామని కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ కామారెడ్డి డిక్లరేషన్ లో పేర్కొందని గుర్తు చేశారు. రిజర్వేషన్లు పెంచకుండానే ఎన్నికలు నిర్వహిస్తారా అన్న అనుమానాలు కలుగుతున్నాయని, రిజర్వేషన్లు పెంచకుంటే ఎన్నికలు జరగనివ్వబోమని ప్రకటించారు.

బీసీల సంక్షేమం కోసం బీఆర్ఎస్ పార్టీ హాయంలో ప్రవేశపెట్టిన పథకాలను కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం నిలిపివేయడం పట్ల ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత తీవ్ర ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. బీసీలకు, ముఖ్యంగా పేద ప్రజలకు ఎంతగానో లబ్దీ చేస్తున్న పథకాలను నిలిపివేయడం సరికాదని సూచించారు. బీఆర్ఎస్ ప్రవేశపెట్టిన పథకాలను కొనసాగించాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
