Competition on Selfie With Redeveloped Hi-Tech City also organized
Hyderabad: On the occasion of the upcoming inauguration of Redeveloped Hi-Tech City Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme on 17th July, 2026, South Central Railway organised Essay Writing (English & Hindi), Drawing and Painting competitions for students of various schools in the twin cities area.
The competitions were conducted for students of Classes VIII to X on the themes “How will a developed Railway Station in my City look like?” and “What will I do to help build a Developed India?” A total of 292 students from six reputed schools viz. Little Flower High School, Gunfoundry, All Saints High School, Abids, St. Ann’s High School, Secunderabad, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Picket, Secunderabad, Kennedy Vidya Bhavan, Marredpally and Railway Mixed High School, North Lalaguda participated in the competitions.

Three winners will be selected in each of the competitions i.e., Essay Writing, Drawing & Painting competitions from each school. Accordingly, a total of 36 students (18 Essay Writing winners and 18 Drawing & Painting winners) will receive prizes during the inaugural program of the Redeveloped Hi-Tech City Railway Station on Friday.

In addition, South Central Railway is also organizing selfie competition until 15th July, 2026 to celebrate the transformation of the redeveloped Hi-Tech City Amrit Station. As part of the same, a social media campaign was also launched by the zone to encourage the Rail users to capture a selfie at the redeveloped Hi-Tech City station and share them on social media by tagging the SCR handles. Prizes will be distributed to selected winners during the inaugural program of the Redeveloped Hi-Tech City Railway Station.

Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway stated that such competitions provide a valuable platform for young minds to express their aspirations for a modern Railway system and a developed nation. He also appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and commended their creativity. The General Manager also stated that the selfie competition aims to create awareness among the public on the redeveloped Hi-Tech City station while also capturing its renewed look.
