Hyderabad: As part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations, the RPF (Railway Protection Force) Band team of South Central Railway performed a musical show at Begumpet Railway Station on 13th August. The band enthralled passengers and onlookers with a mix of patriotic tunes and popular songs, creating a festive atmosphere at the station premises.
Officials said the main objective of the performance is to inculcate patriotism among the public, especially the youth, and to mark the significance of 80 years of Indian Independence. Senior officials who attended the program included M. Suresh, DIG-CSC, RPF, South Central Railway; Narendra Kumar Verma, ASC, RPF, Secunderabad Division; D. Srinivasa Rao, Inspector, SIB, Secunderabad; Saidulu, CI, Begumpet PS; and P. S. S. Suresh Babu, Inspector, RPF Nampally, Hyderabad.

The RPF Band has been conducting similar performances across the city as part of the Independence Day week. It previously performed at Kacheguda on 09.08.2026 and at Necklace Road Railway Station on 11.08.2026.The musical shows have received a positive response from commuters, adding to the patriotic spirit ahead of Independence Day.
