Hyderabad :The Prof. G. Ram Reddy Centre for Research and Development, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad, invites nominations for the Prof. G. Ram Reddy Social Scientist Award for the year 2026–27. The Award aims to promote excellence and recognise outstanding contributions by social scientists for their work carried out primarily in India during the last three years preceding the year of the Award, commemorating the birth anniversary of Prof. G. Ram Reddy.

The Award recognises outstanding contributions in the following fields Public Policy, Local Governance and Education.
The candidate should be a social scientist engaged in research in any of the identified fields. The candidate should be not more than 50 years of age. The candidate should be a regular faculty member, as per UGC rules. The Award recognises and celebrates outstanding research work carried out during the last five years.

Nominations may be submitted in the prescribed proforma, along with any three of the candidate’s best research papers. A covering letter enclosing all the required documents should be addressed to the Director, Prof. G. Ram Reddy Centre for Research and Development. Nominations may also be submitted by email to director-grcrd@braou.ac.in. The nominations must reach the Centre on or before 10 October 2026.
