Hyderabad : As part of nation-wide progrmme, Telangana state BJP unit would conduct a month long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to honor the distinguished service rendered to the nation continuously for 25 years by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Chief Minister and Prime Minister, said state unit president N Ramchander Rao here today.
Addressing a press conference at state party here, Rao recalled that Narendra Modi, who assumed charge as Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, is completing a long public service of 25 years in total 12.5 years as CM and another 12.5 years as PM. He praised this as a rare milestone in democratic history. He stated that following the directions of the BJP national leadership, the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is being conducted nationwide from Modi’s birthday on September 17 to October 17.
Since September 17 is also Telangana Liberation Day, state BJP chief announced that the campaign would launch that evening in Hyderabad with the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ program. He called upon everyone, especially beneficiaries of central schemes, to light lamps in their homes to express gratitude and bless Modi’s governance. He noted that the BJP’s specialty lies in instilling a spirit of service among workers rather than limiting itself to political matters.
Rao said extensive activities like blood donation camps, Swachh Bharat initiatives, essay competitions, ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’, ‘Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra’, and ‘Sushasan Seva Samvad’ would be organized throughout the month. He further stated that the birth anniversaries of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on September 25 and Mahatma Gandhi on October 2 will also be celebrated grandly as part of this campaign.

He explained that PM Narendra Modi’s vision has radically transformed the country’s economy and social landscape. He recalled that through Jan Dhan Yojana, bank accounts were provided to 80 crore poor people, eliminating corruption and middlemen through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. Today, India accounts for 41 per cent of global UPI transactions, astonishing former critics. He stated that the country’s GDP has reached 7.8 per cent, and inflation, which was previously at 9.7 per cent, has been controlled to 2.5 per cent.
He credited the Modi government with providing Rs.1 lakh in assistance to artisans through the Vishwakarma Yojana and offering financial security to nearly two lakh street vendors in Telangana—the highest in the country—through PM SVANidhi.
Rao praised Modi as a great leader who not only enacted protection laws for doctors during the COVID-19 crisis but also provided indigenous vaccines free of cost and supported foreign nations by exporting them. He affirmed that the country is racing toward a ‘Viksit Bharat’ with infrastructure development like highways, railways, and airports, and that the achievements of Modi’s 25-year rule will be taken to every doorstep in the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’.
