“CONG, BRS AND MIM DECEIVING PEOPLE FOR POLITIAL MILEAGE”

Hyderabad : BJP Telangana President N Ramchander Rao today launched a scathing attack alleging that both the previous BRS government and the current ruling Congress government in Telangana are operating under the dictate of the MIM (Majlis) party, severely deceiving the people of Hyderabad.

Speaking to the media in Kukatpally on his second day of “ Rythu Gosa—BJP Bharosa” yatra , Rao accused Congress, BRS and Majlis parties together of fleecing people of Hyderabad for their own political gains. He also highlighted the major issues plaguing the city and exposed the conduct of both the Congress and BRS parties.

Rao criticized that while the previous BRS government left the poor high and dry in the name of double-bedroom houses, the current Congress government was deceiving people in the exact same manner under the guise of ‘Indiramma Houses’. He alleged that they are merely passing time by showing off a few incomplete houses built by the previous government. Accusing both parties of wasting time in the name of reports, he stated they have caused immense injustice to the poor of Hyderabad.

BJP state chief clarified that the idea of splitting the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits to create a Cyberabad Municipal Corporation was solely for the benefit of the Majlis party. He criticized that the Majlis party cannot win unless the city is divided into three parts, which is why GHMC is being unscientifically bifurcated into three divisions and the Revanth Reddy government is ready to hand over one part to them.

He recalled that in the past, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had created confusion during the reorganization of districts by causing a single assembly constituency to fall into three different districts, and now the Revanth government is following the same path. He lashed out, stating that when officials are asked for a map, they have no clarity, and a conspiracy is underway to piece the city apart without even knowing where the borders will fall.

Rao expressed deep grief that the drinking water supply system in the city has completely collapsed. He pointed out that even though the peak summer period (Rohini Karthi) is ending and the monsoon is fast approaching on June 12, the government has failed to mitigate the water crisis. He criticized the Water Board for its monumental failure, noting that water does not even arrive once every three to four days, forcing people to rely on tankers. On the other hand, he warned that a single rainfall would submerge the colonies, recalling that during the floods under the previous BRS regime, even the Rs 10,000 assistance meant for victims whose houses were inundated ended up in the pockets of BRS leaders. He added that the condition of roads in the city is pathetic, and there is no one to care.

He alleged that under the pretext of relocating polluting industries outside the city through the ‘HILT Policy’, internal industrial areas are being converted into residential zones, setting the stage for a massive real estate scam. He said that the government has not conducted any ‘Impact Assessment’ regarding how many people will lose their livelihoods or how many new jobs will be created due to the relocation of these industries. He pointed out that while the previous government depended on the real estate sector, this Congress government, upon coming to power, has increased the commission percentage from 30 to 40 per cent and is harassing builders, resulting in a complete collapse of the real estate sector with no new ventures coming up in the city.

Rao emphasized that transforming Hyderabad into a beautiful city and a global city is possible only through the BJP. He mentioned that under the leadership of Narendra Modi at the Center, there are numerous schemes for urban development. He stated that the central government is developing Telangana using funds from schemes like ‘Smart City’ and ‘AMRUT City’. Furthermore, he promised the public that they would phenomenally develop the tourism sector here.

BJP state president appealed to the citizens to teach a lesson through their vote in the upcoming local body (GHMC) elections to these three selfish parties—Majlis, BRS, and Congress who are playing with the lives of Hyderabad’s citizens for their personal gains. He urged people to elect the BJP to transform Hyderabad into a beautiful city. He asserted that a vote for Congress or BRS is effectively a vote for Majlis, as both these parties have cohabited with Majlis in the past. Rao requested the public to realize this truth and support the BJP, which brings real development.
