హైదరాబాద్ : డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయ, తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర భాషా సాంస్కృతిక శాఖ అధ్వర్యంలో “సామాజిక సాధికారత వారోత్సవాల” లో భాగంగా మూడు రోజుల పాటు జరిగిన “చిత్ర కళా శిబిరం” ముగిసింది. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి విశ్వవిద్యాలయ వైస్-ఛాన్సలర్ ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి ముఖ్య అతిథిగా హాజరయ్యారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా వైస్-ఛాన్సలర్ మాట్లాడుతూ మూడు రోజుల పాటు జరిగిన ఈ శిబిరంలో కళాకారులు తమ ఆలోచనలు, అనుభవాలను, సృజనాత్మక ఆలోచనలకు శక్తిగా మలుచుకున్నారని, కళాకారులు సృష్టించిన చిత్రాలు గ్రామీణ, నిరుపేద వర్గాల విద్యార్థులకు స్ఫూర్తిగా నిలిచాయని, యూనివర్సిటీ లో అభ్యసించే విద్యార్ధులకు ఈ చిత్రాలు స్పూర్తిగా నిలుస్తాయనే ఆశాభావాన్ని ప్రొ. చక్రపాణి వ్యక్త పర్చారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో తెలంగాణ విద్యా కమిషన్, చైర్మన్ ఆకునూరి మురళి ఐ.ఏ.ఎస్ గౌరవ అతిధిగా పాల్గొని ప్రసంగించారు. అయన మాట్లాడుతూ కళాకారుల సృజనాత్మక సామర్థ్యాలు, చిత్ర రూపాలు తనను బాగా ఆకట్టుకున్నాయని, వాటి పట్ల ఎంతగానో ముగ్ధులైనట్లు వెల్లడించారు. మూడు రోజుల శిభిరంలో పాల్గొన్న కళాకారులను ప్రశంసించారు. “సామాజిక సాధికార వారోత్సవాల”లు ఇంత ఘనంగా నిర్వహించడం అభినందనీయమన్నారు. చిత్రకారులు గీసిన ఆ చిత్రాలన్నీ వారి సాంఘిక స్పృహను చాటిచెబుతున్నాయని, యూనివర్సిటీ విధానాలను ప్రతిభింబించేలా ఉన్నాయని ఆనందాన్ని వ్యక్త పర్చారు. ఇంతకాలం విద్యకు దూరంగా ఆదివాసీలకు, ట్రాన్స్ జెండర్ లకు ఉచిత విద్యను అందించడం మంచి పరిణామంగా పేర్కొంటూ వీసీని అభినందించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అకాడమిక్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. జి. పుష్ప చక్రపాణి; వీసీ ఓఎస్డీ ప్రొ. రబింద్రనాథ్ సోలమన్, ప్రొ. పల్లవీ కాబడే, ప్రొ. ఆనంద్ పవార్, ప్రఖ్యాత ఆర్టిస్ట్ ఎం. వి. రమణారెడ్డి, ఉద్యోగ సంఘాల నేతలు, అన్ని విభాగాల అధిపతులు, డీన్స్, అధ్యాపక, అధ్యాపకేతర సిబ్బంది తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Hyderabad : Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University in collaboration with Telangana State Department of Language and Culture organised the valedictory ceremony of a three-day “Art Camp” as part of the “Social Empowerment Week” at its campus on Friday. Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Vice-Chancellor, BRAOU the Chief Guest at the valedictory function said Social Empowerment week was celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversaries of eminent personalities like Babu Jagjivan Ram, Mahathma Jyothiba Phule and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar whose birth anniversaries fall between 5th to 14th of April.
He applauded the artists for beautifully transforming their thoughts, experiences, and creative ideas into a powerful painting during this three-day camp. He expressed his hope that the artworks created by these artists would serve as an inspiration to students from rural and underprivileged backgrounds and commended them for using their art as a medium to express their thoughts tools that facilitate dialogue and contribute to the construction of society. Prof. Chakrapani announced the institution of a fellowship on behalf of BRAOU to encourage artists to continue their art forms within the campus.
Akunuri Murali (IAS), Chairman, Telangana Education Commission who was the distinguished guest at the valedictory was greatly impressed by the creative capabilities of the artists and appreciated their creations. He was of the view that all the paintings demonstrated the social consciousness of the reformers whose ideals came out in the form of paintings exhibited.
Prof. G. Pushpa Chakrapani, Director Academic; Prof. Rabindranath Solomon, OSD to VC; Prof. Pallavi, Prof. I. Anand Pawar, Dr. Dharma Naik, noted artist M. V. Ramana Reddy, along with other Directors, Deans, Heads of Branches, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff Members, representatives of service associations participated in the program.
