దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే 2025-26 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో 286.44 మిలియన్ల ప్రయాణికులను రవాణా చేసింది.
ఈ జోన్ గత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో సరుకు రవాణా ఆదాయం ద్వారా రూ. 13,575 కోట్ల మైలురాయిని అధిగమించింది.
హైదరాబాద్ : దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే జనరల్ మేనేజర్ సంజయ్ కుమార్ శ్రీవాస్తవ, గత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం, అనగా 2025-26 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో ఈ జోన్ సాధించిన అత్యుత్తమ పనితీరును వివరించడానికి, ఈ రోజు అనగా 2026 ఏప్రిల్ 4వ తేదీన సికింద్రాబాద్లోని ‘రైల్ నిలయం’లో విలేకరుల సమావేశాన్ని నిర్వహించారు. గత సంవత్సర కాలంలో ఈ జోన్ వివిధ విభాగాలలో అత్యుత్తమ పనితీరును నమోదు చేసింది మరియు ఇది జాతీయ స్థాయిలో గుర్తింపును సంపాదించడానికి దారితీసింది.
ఈ సందర్భంగా జనరల్ మేనేజర్ మాట్లాడుతూ, 2026-27 సంవత్సరానికిగాను దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వేకు కేటాయించిన బడ్జెట్ గ్రాంట్ రూ.13,026 కోట్లు కాగా, గత సంవత్సరం 2025-26కు కేటాయించిన బడ్జెట్ కేటాయింపు రూ.11,012 కోట్లు అని తెలిపారు. ఇది గత సంవత్సరంతో పోలిస్తే 18.3శాతం పెరుగుదల. ఇంకా, 2025-26 సంవత్సరంలో జోన్ నమోదు చేసిన అత్యుత్తమ పనితీరు వివరాలను జనరల్ మేనేజర్ మీడియాకు వివరించారు. అవి ఈ క్రింది విధంగా ఉన్నాయి :
సరుకు రవాణా
దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే ఈ ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో, 147.871 మిలియన్ టన్నుల సరుకు రవాణాను (అరిజినేటింగ్ ఫ్రైట్ ట్రాఫిక్) చేపట్టింది. ఇది ఈ జోన్ చరిత్రలోనే అత్యుత్తమo. ఇంతకు ముందు 2024-25 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో నమోదైన అత్యధిక రికార్డు 144.142 మిలియన్ టన్నులు.
దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే, సరుకు రవాణా ద్వారా రూ. 13,575 కోట్ల ఆదాయాన్ని కూడా నమోదు చేసింది. ఏదైనా ఒక ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో ఈ జోన్ సాధించిన అత్యధిక సరుకు రవాణా ఆదాయం ఇదే కావడం విశేషం. ఇంతకు ముందు అత్యుత్తమ రికార్డుగా, 2024-25 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో రూ. 13,535 కోట్లు నమోదైంది.
38.04 మిలియన్ టన్నుల సిమెంట్, 19.83 మిలియన్ టన్నుల క్లింకర్ మరియు 8.82 మిలియన్ టన్నుల ఇనుప ఖనిజం లోడింగ్లు, ఇప్పటివరకు నమోదైన అత్యధిక లోడింగ్లుగా రికార్డయ్యాయి.
ప్రయాణీకుల రవాణా
ప్రయాణీకుల రవాణా విభాగంలో రూ . 6235.37 కోట్ల ఆదాయాన్ని నమోదు చేసింది. ఇది జోన్ ప్రారంభమైనప్పటి నుండి నమోదు చేసిన అత్యధిక ప్రయాణీకుల ఆదాయం. దీనికి ముందు అత్యుత్తమ ఆదాయం 2024-25 సంవత్సరంలో రూ . 5714.83 కోట్లుగా ఉంది. 2024-25 సంవత్సరంలో 263.36 మిలియన్లతో పోలిస్తే, 2025-26 సంవత్సరంలో జోన్ 286.44 మిలియన్ల ప్రయాణీకులను రవాణా చేసింది.
2024-25 సంవత్సరంలో 3,495 రైళ్లతో పోలిస్తే, ఈ సంవత్సరంలో 3,791 ప్రత్యేక రైళ్లను నడిపారు.
2025-26 సంవత్సరంలో, 197 రైళ్లకు 276 అదనపు కోచ్లను జోడించగా , 59 రైళ్లలో ఎల్.ఎచ్.బి కోచ్లను ప్రవేశపెట్టారు. అదే సమయంలో, 13 రైళ్ల ప్రయాణ వేగాన్ని పెంచడం ద్వారా 2988 నిమిషాల సమయాన్ని ఆదా చేయదమైనది .
స్థూల ఆదాయం
దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే రూ. 21,211.92 కోట్ల స్థూల ఆర్జిత ఆదాయాన్ని నమోదు చేసింది, ఇది జోన్ ప్రారంభమైనప్పటి నుండి సాధించిన అత్యధిక ఆర్జిత ఆదాయం కూడా. 2024-25 సంవత్సరంలో నమోదైన రూ. 20,569.35 కోట్ల మునుపటి అత్యుత్తమ స్థాయితో పోలిస్తే ఇది 3శాతం అధికం
టికెట్ తనిఖీ
దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే టిక్కెట్ల తనిఖీ ద్వారా రూ. 232.6 కోట్ల ఆదాయాన్ని నమోదు చేసింది. ఇది జోన్ ప్రారంభమైనప్పటి నుండి సాధించిన అత్యధిక ఆదాయం . గత సంవత్సరం ఇది రూ. 184.24 కోట్లు కాగా, 2023-24లో మునుపటి అత్యుత్తమ స్థాయి రూ. 220.85 కోట్లుగా నమోదైంది.
మౌలిక సదుపాయాల అభివృద్ధి
దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే పరిధిలో 194.57 కిలోమీటర్ల ట్రాక్ అదనంగా చేర్చబడింది. ఇందులో భాగంగా, 35.93 కిలోమీటర్ల మేర కొత్త లైన్లు, 78.768 కిలోమీటర్ల మేర డబ్లింగ్ మరియు 79.872 కిలోమీటర్ల మేర ట్రిప్లింగ్ నిర్మాణ పనులు పూర్తి చేయడంతో, దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే నెట్వర్క్కు 194.57 కిలోమీటర్ల ట్రాక్ జోడించబడింది. దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే 2025-26 సంవత్సరంలో 325 కిలోమీటర్ల ట్రాక్ విద్యుదీకరణను పూర్తి చేసింది.
అమృత్ భారత్ స్టేషన్ పథకం కింద స్టేషన్ల పునరాభివృద్ధి
సమగ్ర స్టేషన్ల పునరాభివృద్ధి ద్వారా ప్రయాణికుల అనుభవాన్ని మెరుగుపరచడానికి భారతీయ రైల్వే ఒక భారీ కార్యక్రమాన్ని చేపట్టింది. ఈ పథకం కింద, దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే రూ. 6000 కోట్లకు పైగా వ్యయంతో 119 రైల్వే స్టేషన్ల పునరాభివృద్ధి పనులను చేపడుతోంది. ఇందులో సుమారు రూ. 2,900 కోట్ల వ్యయంతో చేపట్టిన 11 ప్రధాన స్టేషన్ల పునరాభివృద్ధి పనులు కూడా ఉన్నాయి.
మొత్తం 119 ‘అమృత్ స్టేషన్ల’లో, 40 స్టేషన్లు తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర పరిధిలోకి వస్తాయి. వరంగల్, బేగంపేట మరియు కరీంనగర్ అనే మూడు స్టేషన్లు ఇప్పటికే ప్రారంభించబడ్డాయి.కాగా మరో 5 స్టేషన్ల పనులు తుది దశకు చేరుకున్నాయి.
ఇతర ప్రధాన విజయాలు:
దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే గత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో, 479 రూట్ కిలోమీటర్ల మేర ఆటోమేటిక్ బ్లాక్ సిగ్నలింగ్ను ప్రారంభించింది. ఇది నిర్దేశించిన 357 రూట్ కిలోమీటర్ల లక్ష్యం కంటే ఎక్కువ.
కవచ్ రక్షణ వ్యవస్థ 4.0 ఏర్పాటు వేగంగా పురోగమిస్తోంది మరియు 2025-26 సంవత్సరంలో , 402 రూట్ కిలోమీటర్ల లక్ష్యాన్ని అధిగమించి 486 రూట్ కిలోమీటర్ల మేర స్థాపించడమైనది .
2025-26 సంవత్సరంలో, ఆర్.యూ.బిలు, ఆర్. ఓ. బి లు నిర్మించడం లేదా దారి మళ్లించడం ద్వారా 65 సిబ్బందితో కూడిన ఎల్.సి గేట్లు తొలగించబడ్డాయి. 12 ప్రదేశాలలో ఎల్.సి గేట్లకు ఇంటర్లాకింగ్ చేయగా, 18 ప్రదేశాలలో స్లైడింగ్ బూమ్లు ఏర్పాటు చేయబడ్డాయి.
2025-26 సంవత్సరంలో 72 రోడ్డు అండర్ బ్రిడ్జిలు మరియు 27 రోడ్డు ఓవర్ బ్రిడ్జిలు నిర్మించబడ్డాయి.
ప్రస్తుత సంవత్సరంలో దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే అత్యధికంగా రూ.650.30 కోట్ల స్క్రాప్ అమ్మకాలను నమోదు చేసింది, ఇది రైల్వే బోర్డు లక్ష్యమైన రూ.510 కోట్ల కంటే ఎక్కువ.
ఈ జోన్ 2025-26 సంవత్సరంలో 40 లిఫ్టులు మరియు 25 ఎస్కలేటర్లను ఏర్పాటు చేసింది.
2025-26 సంవత్సరంలో 10.74 మెగావాట్ల సౌర విద్యుత్ ప్లాంట్లను ఏర్పాటు చేసింది తద్వారా సంవత్సరానికి రూ. 13.2 కోట్ల ఆదా అవుతుంది.
గత సంవత్సరం 2025-26లో 37 సేవా భవనాలకు శూన్య / శూన్య ప్లస్ లేబులింగ్ను కూడా పొందింది. శూన్య/ శూన్య ప్లస్ లేబులింగ్ సర్టిఫికేషన్ నికర విద్యుత్ ఎగుమతి, నికర విద్యుత్ దిగుమతికి సమానంగా లేదా అంతకంటే ఎక్కువగా ఉన్న భవనాలకు ఇవ్వబడుతుం ది.

The Zone registered Milestone of Rs. 13, 575 Crore in Freight Revenue during last FY
Hyderabad: Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway held a Press Meet today i.e., 02nd April, 2026 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad to highlight the exceptional achievements of the zone during the financial year 2025-26. The Zone has registered best ever performances in various segments during the last year and this has led to the Zone earning recognition at the National level.
Speaking on the occasion, the General Manager informed that the budget grant allocated to South Central Railway for the year 2026-27 is Rs13,026 Crores, while the budget allocated for the last year 2025-26 is Rs 11,012 Crores. 18.3% increase over last year. Further, the General Manager briefed the media on the best-ever performances registered by the Zone during 2025-26 which are as follows –
Freight Traffic
SCR has transported 147.871 Million Tonnes of originating freight traffic from the Zone during the financial year, which is the best ever performance in the history of the Zone. The previous highest was 144.142 MTs during 2024-25.
SCR has also registered Rs13,575 Crore as Originating freight revenue which is the highest freight revenue registered by the Zone in any financial year. The previous best was Rs.13,535Cr during 2024-25.
The cement loading with 38.04 MTs, clinker with 19.83 MTs and iron ore loading with 8.82 MTs are recorded as highest ever loading.
Passenger Traffic
SCR has registered Revenue of Rs. 6235.37 Crores in the passenger traffic segment, which is the highest Passenger revenue registered by the Zone since its inception. The previous best was Rs. 5714.83 Core in 2024-25. The Zone has carried 286.44 Million passengers during 2025-26 when compared with 263.36 Million in 2024-25.
3,791 Special trains were operated during the year when compared with 3,495 trains during 2024-25.
During the year 2025-26, 276 additional coaches augmented to 197 trains and 59 trains were inducted with LHB coaches, while 13 trains were speeded up by saving running time of 2988 minutes.
Gross Originating Revenue
SCR has registered Gross Originating Revenue of Rs.21, 211.92 Crores, which is also the highest ever originating revenue by the Zone since its inception. This is 3% more when compared with the previous best of Rs.20569.35 Crore registered during 2024-25.
Ticket Checking
SCR has registered Ticket checking Earnings of Rs.232.6Crores which is the highest by the Zone since its inception. Last year it was Rs. 184.24 Crores and the previous best was Rs. 220.85 in 2023-24.
Infrastructure Addition
SCR has achieved track addition of 194.57 Kms. As part of it, 35.93 Kms new lines, 78.768 Kms Doubling and 79.872 Kms Tripling have been completed resulting in the track addition of 194.57 Kms to SCR network. SCR has completed 325 Track Kms of Electrification during 2025-26.
Redevelopment of Stations under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme
Indian Railways has embarked on a major initiative to enhance passenger experience through comprehensive station redevelopment. Under this scheme, South Central Railway (SCR) is undertaking redevelopment of 119 Railway stations with a cost over Rs. 6000 crores. This includes redevelopment of 11 major stations taken up with a cost of Rs. 2,900 crores approximately.
Out of 119 Amrit stations, 40 stations fall in Telangana. 3 stations viz., Warangal, Begumpet and Karimnagar have been inaugurated, while 5 stations are nearing completion.
Other Major Achievements:
SCR has commissioned 479 Rkms of Automatic Block Signalling in the last financial year which is far above the target of 357 Rkms.
Installation of Kavach 4.0 is moving in the fast progress and during 2025-26,it has been installed for a distance of 486 Rkms surpassing the target of 402 Rkms.
During the year 2025-26, 65 manned LC Gates are eliminated by construction of RUBs, ROBs or diversion. Interlocking of LC gates is done at 12 locations while sliding booms are provided at 18 locations.
72 Road under Bridges were constructed and 27 Road over Bridges were constructed during the year 2025-26
SCR registers highest scrap sales in the current year amounting to Rs.650.30crores which is more than the Railway Board target of Rs510 Crores.
The Zone has installed 40 lifts and 25 escalators during the year 2025-26.
The Zone has setup 10.74 MWp solar power plants in the year 2025-26 which results in the savings of Rs 13.2 Crores per annum.
The Zone has also received Shunya/Shunya plus labelling for 37 service buildings in the last year 2025-26.Shunya/Shunya Plus labelling certification is given to the buildings where the net energy export is equal to or more than the net energy import.
