హైదరాబాద్ : దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వేలో అంకితభావంతో విశేష సేవలను అందిస్తూ విధులను నిర్వర్తిస్తున్న ఈ జోన్కు చెందిన 66 మంది మహిళా రైల్వే ఉద్యోగుల సేవలను గుర్తించి దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే మహిళా సంక్షేమ సంఘం (ఎస్.సి.ఆర్.డబ్లూ.డబ్లూ.ఓ), ఈ రోజు అనగా మార్చి13, 2026న సికింద్రాబాద్లోని ‘రైల్ నిలయం’ ఆడిటోరియంలో జరిగిన కార్యక్రమంలో ప్రశంసాపత్రం మరియు బహుమతితో ఘనంగా సన్మానించింది. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ఎస్.సి.ఆర్.డబ్లూ.డబ్లూ.ఓ అధ్యక్షురాలు శ్రీమతి వందన శ్రీవాస్తవ, ఉపాధ్యక్షురాలు శ్రీమతి అమితా ప్రకాష్, కార్యదర్శి శ్రీమతి అపర్ణ మురళి, కోశాధి కారి శ్రీమతి వైశాలి ఖడే, దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే డిప్యూటీ చీఫ్ పర్సనల్ ఆఫీసర్ (సంక్షేమం) శ్రీమతి డి. మాలతి, ఎస్.సి.ఆర్.డబ్లూ.డబ్లూ. ఓ కార్యవర్గ సభ్యులు మరియు సిబ్బంది పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి హాజరైన సభ్యులను ఉద్దేశించి ప్రసంగిస్తూ శ్రీమతి వందన శ్రీవాస్తవ, భారతీయ రైల్వేల పట్ల ఉద్యోగులు చూపిన కృషి మరియు నిబద్ధతను అభినందించారు. అంతర్జాతీయ మహిళా దినోత్సవం మన హక్కుల కోసం గతంలో పోరాడిన మహిళల పోరాటాలు మరియు త్యాగాలను ప్రతిబింబించే అవకాశాన్ని కల్పిస్తుందని ఆమె అన్నారు. మన మహిళలకు విద్య, ఉద్యోగాలు అందించడంలో ఇప్పటివరకు సాధించిన పురోగతిని ఇది గుర్తుచేస్తుందని , అదే సమయంలో మెరుగైన భవిష్యత్తు కోసం కృషి చేయడం కొనసాగించడానికి కూడా మనకు అవకాశం కల్పిస్తుందని మరియు జీవితంలోని అన్ని రంగాలలో మహిళలు అభివృద్ధి చెందడానికి వారికి సమాన అవకాశాలు, గౌరవం మరియు భద్రత కల్పించాలని ఆమె నొక్కి చెప్పారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే డిప్యూటీ సీపీఓ శ్రీమతి డి. మాలతి మాట్లాడుతూ , ఈ సంవత్సరం మహిళా దినోత్సవం ఇతివృత్తం ‘ గివ్ టు గెయిన్’ ‘ గురించి వివరించారు. ఈ రోజు మహిళలు సాధించిన పురోగతి గత తరాల ప్రయత్నాలు మరియు త్యాగాల ఫలితాన్ని ఈ థీమ్ మనకు గుర్తు చేస్తుందని ఆమె పేర్కొన్నారు. చరిత్ర మరియు సమకాలీన కాలంలోని అనేక మంది ప్రముఖ మహిళలను ఉదాహరిస్తూ వారి విజయాలు దేశానికి గర్వకారణం మరియు భవిష్యత్ తరాలకు మార్గం సుగమం చేశాయని ఆన్నారు.

Hyderabad: South Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SCRWWO) felicitated 66 women Railway employees of the Zone with certificate of merit and gifts in recognition of their meritorious and dedicated services today i.e., 13th March, 2026 at Rail Nilayam Auditorium, Secunderabad. Smt. Vandana Srivastava, President, SCRWWO; Smt. Amitha Prakash, Vice-president; Smt. Aparna Murali, Secretary,; Smt. Vaishali Khade, Treasurer; Smt. D Malathi, Deputy Chief Personnel Officer/Welfare, SCR, executive committee members of SCRWWO and staff participated in the program.
Addressing the gathering, Smt. Vandana Srivastava appreciated the employees for their hard work and commitment towards Indian Railways. She stated that International Women’s Day gives us an opportunity to reflect on the struggles and sacrifices of women in the past who have fought for our rights. It reminds us of the progress that has been made so far in terms of providing education, jobs for our women while also giving us an opportunity to continue working towards a better future. She emphasized that women should be given equal opportunities, respect and safety so that they can thrive in all spheres of life.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. D. Malathi, Dy. CPO, SCR elaborated on the theme for this year’s women’s day which is ‘Give to Gain’. She stated that the theme reminds us that the progress women have made today is a result of the efforts and sacrifices of the previous generations. She also cited examples of several prominent women from history and contemporary times whose achievements have brought pride to the nation and paved the way for future generations.
