హైదరాబాద్ : నేషనల్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూషనల్ ర్యాంకింగ్ ఫ్రేమ్వర్క్ – ఓపెన్ యూనివర్సిటీ కేటగిరిలో అగ్రస్థానంలో నిలవడమే బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ ఓపెన్ యూనివర్సిటీ లక్ష్యమని వైస్ ఛాన్సలర్ ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి వెల్లడించారు. డాక్టర్ బి.ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ ఓపెన్ యూనివర్సిటీ సెంటర్ ఫర్ ఇంటర్నల్ క్వాలిటీ అష్యూరెన్స్ (సికా) ఆధ్వర్యంలో గురువారం విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అధ్యాపకులకు “నేషనల్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూషనల్ ర్యాంకింగ్ ఫ్రేమ్వర్క్ : అవేర్నెస్ అండ్ కెపాసిటీ బిల్డింగ్ ప్రోగ్రామ్” అనే అంశంపై ఒక రోజు వర్క్షాప్ను నిర్వహించింది.
ముఖ్య అతిథిగా వైస్ ఛాన్సలర్ ప్రొఫెసర్ ఘంటా చక్రపాణి హాజరై మాట్లాడుతూ విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ప్రతిష్టను ఎన్.ఐ.ఆర్.ఎఫ్. ర్యాంకింగ్ పెంచుతుందని, సంస్థ ఖ్యాతిని ప్రతిబింబిస్తుందని వివరించారు. ఉన్నత ర్యాంకును యూనివర్సిటీ సాదిస్తుందనే విశ్వాసం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. విశ్వవిద్యాలయ స్థితిని మెరుగుపరచడంలో ఇది కీలక పాత్ర పోషిస్తుందని చెప్పారు. పరిశోధన పై దృష్టి పెట్టాలని అధ్యాపకులకు సూచించారు. ఉత్తమ పరిశోధనలకు తమను తాము అంకితం చేసుకొని లక్ష్యానికి చేరాలని సూచించారు.
రిసోర్స్ పర్సన్గా ఇంటర్నేషనల్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఫర్ క్వాలిటీ అక్రిడిటేషన్స్ సి.ఈ.ఓ. డాక్టర్ టి. రవీందర్ రెడ్డి వ్యవహరించి ఉన్నత ర్యాంకింగ్లను సాధించడానికి విద్యా కార్యక్రమాలను సమర్థవంతంగా ఎలా ప్రదర్శించాలో వాటి ప్రాముఖ్యతను అధ్యాపకులకు వివరించారు. కీలకమైన ఎన్.ఐ.ఆర్.ఎఫ్. పారామీటర్లను, విశ్వవిద్యాలయ బలాలను ప్రతిబింబించేలా వాటిని ఎలా సముచితంగా ప్రదర్శించాలో వివరించారు. మెరుగైన ర్యాంకింగ్లను సాధించడానికి ఉపాధ్యాయులు వారి వ్యక్తిగత సామర్థ్యాలను, సంస్థ సామర్థ్యాలను రెండింటినీ నిర్మించుకోవాలని సూచించారు.
అకడమిక్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొఫెసర్ పుష్ప చక్రపాణి మాట్లాడుతూ ఉపాధ్యాయులు తమ పరిశోధన సామర్థ్యాలను బలోపేతం చేసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని అన్నారు. ఇది ర్యాంకింగ్ను గణనీయంగా ప్రభావితం చేస్తుందని పేర్కొన్నారు. రిజిస్ట్రార్ డాక్టర్ ఎల్ విజయ కృష్ణా రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ సమష్టి కృషితో, విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ఉన్నతస్థితిని సాధించగలదని పేర్కొన్నారు. లక్ష్యాన్ని చేరుకోవడానికి అంకితభావం, నిబద్ధతతో పనిచేయాలని అధ్యాపకులను కోరారు.
సికా డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొఫెసర్ కె. శ్రీదేవి మాట్లాడుతూ సంస్థాగత అభివృద్ధిలో ఎన్.ఐ.ఆర్.ఎఫ్. ర్యాంకింగ్ కీలక పాత్ర పోషిస్తుందని అన్నారు. కచ్చితమైన డేటా సమర్పణను నిర్ధారించడానికి ఉపాధ్యాయ క్రెడిట్లను అప్లోడ్ చేసే ప్రక్రియ గురించి వివరించారు. వర్క్షాప్లో డైరెక్టర్లు, డీన్లు, అధ్యాపకులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Hyderabad : Dr. B R Ambedkar Open University’s Centre for Internal Quality Assurance (CIQA) organized a one-day workshop on “National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF): Awareness and Capacity Building Programme” for university faculty. The workshop aimed to enhance understanding of NIRF rankings and empower teachers to contribute towards improving the university’s standing.
Chief Guest of the workshop, Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani Vice Chancellor, highlighted that the NIRF ranking enhances the University’s prestige, as it reflects the institute’s reputation and serves as a point of pride. This ranking is the public face of the University, showcasing its excellence. He expressed confidence that the University is among the best and is on track to achieve a top rank. He encouraged the faculty to focus on research work, as it plays a key role in improving the institute’s standing. By dedicating themselves to high-quality research, the faculty can contribute significantly to this goal.

Ravinder Reddy, CEO of the International Institute for Quality Accreditations, was the resource person and emphasized the importance of effectively showcasing academic work to secure higher rankings. He discussed the key NIRF parameters and how to present them appropriately to reflect the university’s strengths. Dr. Reddy also urged teachers to build both their individual capacities and those of the institution to achieve better rankings.
Prof. Pushpa Chakrapani, Director (Academic), stressed the need for teachers to strengthen their research capabilities, which significantly impact rankings. Dr. L Vijaya Krishna Reddy, the Registrar, stated that with collective efforts, the university can achieve great heights. He urged the faculty to work with dedication and commitment in order to reach this goal. By doing so, everyone can contribute to the university’s success.
Prof. K. Sridevi, Director of CIQA, highlighted the critical role of NIRF rankings in institutional development and explained the process for uploading teacher credits to ensure accurate data submission. The session provided valuable insights into the technical aspects of NIRF ranking procedures. The directors, deans, faculty were participated the workshop.
