Hyderabad : Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani has been appoined as an executive member of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU). Prof. Rahmmat Budiman, Secretary General, AAOU sent official information appointing Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani as an executive member for the 2026-2028 term. All open universities in the Asian continent are members of this association.
The order stated that AAOU officials made this decision at the 2025 General Assembly meeting recently held in Beijing. On this occasion, Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani said being as an executive member of AAOU from Dr. B. RAmbedkar Open University has been increased my responsibility. He stated that he will strive to expand open education in rural areas of Telangana and ensure that higher education is accessible to all.
On this occasion, Dr. L. V. K Reddy, Registrar; Prof. Pushpa Chakrapani, Prof. Rabindranath Solomon, Prof. Rani Rajitha Madhuri, Prof. Rajani, Prof. Bhoju Srinivas, Dr. Rama Devi and Dr. Dayakar other directors was congratulated to Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani.

హైదరాబాద్ : ఏషియన్ అసోసియేషన్ ఆఫ్ ఓపెన్ యూనివర్సిటీస్ (ఏఏఓయూ) కార్యనిర్వాహక సభ్యులుగా డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయం వైస్-ఛాన్సలర్ ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి ఎంపికయ్యారు. 2026-2028 కాలానికి కార్యనిర్వాహక సభ్యులుగా ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి ని నియమిస్తూ ఏఏఓయూ సెక్రటరీ జనరల్ ప్రొ. రహమ్మత్ బుదిమాన్ అధికారిక సమాచారాన్ని పంపించారు. ఆసియా ఖండంలోని అన్ని ఓపెన్ యూనివర్సిటీ లు ఇందులో సభ్యులుగా ఉంటారు.
బీజింగ్లో ఇటీవల జరిగిన 2025 సంవత్సరపు సాధారణ సర్వ సభ్య సమావేశంలో ఏఏఓయూ అధికారులు ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నట్లు ఉత్తర్వుల్లో పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి మాట్లాడుతూ అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ఏఏఓయూకు కార్యనిర్వాహక సభ్యులుగా ఎంపిక కావడం తమ భాద్యతను మరింత పెంచిందన్నారు. తెలంగాణలో సార్వత్రిక విద్య గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతంలో మరింత విస్తరించేలా, అందరికీ అందుబాటులో ఉన్నత విద్య ఉండేలా ప్రయత్నం చేస్తానని పేర్కొన్నారు.
