వాళ్ళు మాట్లాడుతూ ఇరవై ఐదో స్నాతకోత్సవం ఈ నెల 28న గురువారం సాయంత్రం 4.00 గంటలకు భవనం వెంకట్రామ్ ఆడిటోరియం, విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ప్రాంగణం, జూబ్లీహిల్స్, హైదరాబాద్‌లో నిర్వహిస్తామని వెల్లడించారు.
గౌరవనీయులు తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర గవర్నర్, పుదుచ్చేరి లెఫ్టినెంట్ గవర్నర్ & విశ్వవిద్యాలయ కులపతి డా. తమిళిసై సౌందరరాజన్ ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొననున్నారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా విద్యార్ధులకు ఎం.ఫిల్, పిహెచ్.డి పట్టాలను, ఆయా విభాగాల్లో అత్యుత్తమ ప్రతిభ కనబర్చిన విద్యార్ధులకు బంగారు పతకాలు, పుస్తక బహుమతులను అందించనున్నట్లు వివరించారు.
ఈ స్నాతకోత్సవ కార్యక్రమానికి ముఖ్య అతిథిగా యూనివర్సిటీ గ్రాంట్స్ కమిషన్ చైర్మన్ ప్రొ.ఎం. జగదీష్ కుమార్ హాజరై స్నాతకోత్సవ ప్రసంగం చేయనున్నట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ స్నాతకోత్సవంలో 31,729 మంది అభ్యర్థులు తమ డిగ్రీలు / డిప్లొమాలు / సర్టిఫికెట్లు పొందనున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు. ఈ స్నాతకోత్సవంలో ప్రముఖ విద్యావేత్త ప్రొ.వి.ఎస్. ప్రసాద్‌ను సార్వత్రిక విద్య, ఉన్నత విద్యా విభాగంలో ఆయన చేసిన సేవలకు గాను డాక్టర్ ఆఫ్ లెటర్స్ (హానరిస్ కాసా–గౌరవ డాక్టరేట్)తో సత్కరించబోతునున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు.
25వ స్నాతకోత్సవం ముఖ్య అంశాలు :
స్నాతకోత్సవంలో డిగ్రీలు /డిప్లొమా సర్టిఫికెట్లు పొందునున్న విద్యార్ధులు 31,729. ఇందులో భాగంగా డిగ్రీలో 20,972, పీజీలో 10,757 మంది సర్టిఫికెట్స్ అందుకోనున్నారు.
UG/PG మహిళా విద్యార్ధులు 16,684 అభ్యర్థులు, 5 ట్రాన్స్ జెండర్ అభ్యర్థులతో సహా పురుషులు 14,860 మంది డిగ్రీలు అందుకోనున్నారు.
మొత్తం 43 బంగారు పతకాలు (17 UG విభాగంలో గోల్డ్ మెడల్స్ & 26 PG విభాగంలో బంగారు పతకాలు)
మొత్తం బంగారు పతకాలు 43 (మహిళలు 32, పురుషులు 10) :
UG లో మహిళలు 13 బంగారు పతకాలు, పురుషులు 4 అందుకోనున్నారు.
PG లో మహిళలు 21 బంగారు పతకాలు, పురుషులు 5 బంగారు పతకాలు పొందనున్నారు.
మొత్తం 148 మంది వివిధ జైళ్లలో అభ్యసించిన ఖైదీ అభ్యర్థులు డిగ్రీలు పట్టాలు పొందనున్నారు. (పురుషుల ఖైదీలు : 137, మహిళా ఖైదీలు: 11). డిగ్రీలో ఒక ఖైదీ గోల్డ్ మెడల్ & బుక్ ప్రైజ్ అందుకోనున్నారు. మరో ఖైది PG లో బంగారు పతకం అందుకోనున్నారు. UG లో 10 మంది మహిళ ఖైదీలు, 116 మంది పురుష ఖైదీలు తమ డిగ్రీ పట్టాలు పొందునున్నారు. PG లో 1 మహిళ ఖైదీ, 21 మంది పురుష ఖైదీలు తమ డిగ్రీ సర్టిఫికేట్లు అందుకున్తున్నట్లు అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు.
భారతదేశంలోనే మొట్టమొదటి సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయం డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయం, 1982లో స్థాపించబడింది. భారతదేశంలో దూరవిద్యకు ఆధ్యుడు (డోయెన్) ప్రొ. జి. రామ్ రెడ్డి 1982 నుండి 1985 వరకు విశ్వవిద్యాలయం వ్యవస్థాపక ఉపకులపతిగా ఉన్నారు. భారతదేశంలోని అనేక సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలకు ‘మార్గదర్శి . ప్రస్తుతం భారతదేశంలో BRAOU మరియు IGNOUతో సహా 18 సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలు ఉన్నాయి.
డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయం 1983లో 6,321 విద్యార్థులతో, 26 ఆధ్యయన కేంద్రాలతో ప్రారంభమైన ఈ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ప్రస్తుతం 179 (TS 103 & AP 76) ఆధ్యయన కేంద్రాలను కలిగి ఉంది, ఇందులో తెలంగాణ & ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లలో 23 RCCలు ఉన్నాయి. రెండు రాష్ట్రాల్లోని జైలు ఖైదీల విద్యా అవసరాలను తీర్చడానికి విశ్వవిద్యాలయం సెంట్రల్ జైలు- చెర్లపల్లి, వరంగల్, రాజమండ్రి, నెల్లూరు మరియు కడపలో ప్రత్యేకమైన అధ్యయన కేంద్రాలను కలిగి ఉంది. దేశ రక్షణలో పాలు పంచుకునే సైనికులకు ప్రత్యేకంగా సికింద్రాబాద్ ఏఒసీ సెంటర్లో అధ్యయన కేంద్రాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేయడం గర్వంగా ఉందని ప్రొ. సీతారామారావు వెల్లడించారు.
యూ ట్యూబ్ ఛానెల్:
యూనివర్శిటీ యూ ట్యూబ్ ద్వారా braou ఛానెల్‌ని ప్రారంభించింది. విశ్వవిద్యాలయం అందించే అన్ని కోర్సుల కోసం వీడియో పాఠాలు ఇందులో అందుబాటులో ఉంటాయి. ఈ ఛానెల్ ద్వారా విద్యార్థులు తమ సంబంధిత వీడియో పాఠాలను డౌన్‌లోడ్ చేసుకోవడానికి అవకాశం ఉంటుంది.
యూనివర్సిటీ భవిష్యత్తు ప్రణాళికలు
కొత్త కోర్సులను ప్రవేశపెట్టడమే కాకుండా ఈ విద్యా సంవత్సరం 2019-22 నుండి అండర్ గ్రాడ్యుయేట్ స్థాయిలో ఛాయస్ బేస్డ్ క్రెడిట్ సిస్టమ్ (CBCS) పై విశ్వవిద్యాలయం దృష్టిని సారించింది. విద్యార్థులు తమకు ఉపయోగపడే కోర్సును ఎంచుకునేలా ఈ విధానం అవకాశం కలిగించింది. cbcs నైపుణ్యాన్ని అభివృద్ధి చేసే కోర్సుగా దేశ వ్యాప్తంగా గుర్తింపు పొందింది. వచ్చే విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుంచి పలు కొత్త కోర్సులను అందించనున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, the first Open University in India
was established in 1982. Prof .G. Ram Reddy, the doyen of Distance
Education in India was the Founder Vice-Chancellor of the University
from 1982 to 1985 has been a ‘Role Model’ for many Open Universities
in India. There are at present 18 Open Universities in India including
BRAOU and IGNOU. About 5,30,742 Degrees have been awarded to
the Students during 42 years of its existence.
Started with a modest strength of 6,321 and 26 Study Centres in
1983, the University has now 179 (T.S 103 & A.P 76) Study Centres
including 23 RCCs in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh with a annual
strength of over 1,13,821 Students on roll for various Programmes
offered by the University. The University has exclusive Study Centres at
Central Prison- Cherlapalli, Warangal, Rajahmundry, Nellore and
Kadapa to cater the educational needs of prison inmates both the
States.
PROGRAMME CENTRES: The University has exclusive 22
Programme Centres each for B.Ed Programme Centres 10 and B.Ed
(Special Education); 11 MBA (Health Care Management) with Apollo
Hospitals.
The University at present offers about 40 Programmes, which

BRAOU You tube channel:
The University launched the braou channel via You tube includes
video lessons for all courses offered by the university, through this
channel students will have the opportunity to download their relevant
video lessons, the students have a comprehensive understanding of the
academic issues and the need to provide future job skills.
University Future Plans:
Apart from introducing new courses the University focus its attention
on the choice based credit System (CBCS) at the under graduate level
from this Academic year 2019 -22. The System makes the students to
Choose course of their own choice, which invariably contains, among
other things, skill developing courses. will definitely provide for seamless

In order to encourage the drop out SC/ST Students of Dr.BRAOU,
belong to 2005, 2006, & 2007 the University has exempted about
14,000 drop out SC/ST Student paying Re-Admission fees and provide
them a “Second Chance” to complete their studies/ programmes.
