Hyderabad : Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao has penned an open letter to Hon’ble Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, seeking his intervention in facilitating an appointment with Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, to submit a representation regarding the unfulfilled guarantees promised to the people of Telangana.
In the letter, N. Ramchander Rao garu stated that the people of Telangana had placed their faith in the Congress Party based on the assurances and guarantees personally made by Rahul Gandhi, Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Smt. Priyanka Gandhi during the 2023 Assembly elections. He pointed out that several key promises made to women, farmers, students, youth, senior citizens, agricultural labourers and poor families remain unfulfilled even after the formation of the Congress government in Telangana.
Rao said that women are still waiting for the promised financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month, while farmers are yet to receive ₹15,000 per acre under Rythu Bharosa. Tenant farmers, agricultural labourers and poor families awaiting Indiramma Indlu houses also continue to remain disappointed. ighlighting the plight of students and youth, ao said that the promised ₹5 lakh assistance under the Vidya Bharosa scheme has not materialised. Students continue to struggle for fee reimbursement, while the unemployed are still waiting for the monthly unemployment stipend of ₹4,000 promised repeatedly by Rahul Gandhi.

He further stated that senior citizens are awaiting the promised pension of ₹4,000 per month, while widows, single women and differently-abled persons are yet to receive the enhanced social security benefits assured to them. College-going girls are also still waiting for the promised scooters, and unemployed youth continue to wait for the job calendar and employment opportunities. N. Ramchander Rao said that the Congress government has miserably failed to deliver on its guarantees and that there is growing disappointment among various sections of society across Telangana.
He requested Chief Minister Revanth Reddy garu to facilitate an appointment with Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji at the earliest, so that the concerns of the people of Telangana can be placed before him directly. Rao also stated that if the Congress leadership fails to respond and facilitate the appointment, it would only confirm the Congress Party’s great betrayal of Telangana and its people.
