Hyderabad : South Central Railway has been adjudged with prestigious SKOCH award, 2026 for developing integrated “Rail Parcel App” under e-governance category. This award was presented in recognition of the efforts of Commercial department of Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway for transforming logistics of Railway Parcel services through digitalisation, convenience and transparency. This award was received by Smt Ity Pandey, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, SCR and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Hyderabad Division at Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi today i.e., on 26th September, 2026.
SKOCH award which was instituted by the SKOCH group in the year 2003, is one of the prestigious awards in the country conferred by an independent organisation. This award acknowledges exceptional efforts by any individual, corporate entity or government entity that go the extra mile for betterment in digital, financial, social inclusion, governance, technology, and economic transformation. The methodology and evaluation spans for months and the experts and juries devote hours and days of their time evaluating each project in great detail.
The Rail Parcel Application transforms the traditional station-centric parcel process into an end-to-end digital logistics marketplace. It integrates First Mile doorstep pickup, the Mid Mile strength of the Indian Railways network and Last Mile doorstep delivery through empanelled Logistics Service Providers. The platform enables customers to access and choose logistics services based on parameters such as pricing, performance and ratings, bringing greater convenience, transparency and choice to railway parcel customers.
The initiative of Rail Parcel APP reflects Railway’s commitment to continuously improve the customer experience by leveraging technology. The core objective is to make railway parcel services simpler, more accessible and convenient, while also creating an ecosystem that can support the growth of parcel traffic on Indian Railways. The consistent efforts of commercial department of South Central Railway has resulted in bagging the prestigious SKOCH award 2026 for Rail Parcel APP.
