Hyderabad: Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway held a detailed review meeting on Safety of train operations across the Zone today at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR and Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal and Nanded Divisions participated through video conferencing.
Srivastava, highlighted the importance of structured and phased inspections including night inspections by Officers and Inspectors, with a special emphasis on strengthening safety measures in Train Operations and Railway Stations across the zone. He underlined the critical role of ensuring safety at key points such as level crossings and power supply systems.

The General Manager also emphasized the maintenance of safety equipment and Rail fittings to ensure uninterrupted and secure train movements. Safety framework is something, which not only addresses immediate operational requirements but also builds long-term safeguards for passengers and Railway staff, he said.
