మే 2026 నుంచి కాజీపేటలో ఉత్పత్తి ప్రారంభం

మే 2026 నుంచి కాజీపేటలో ఉత్పత్తి ప్రారంభం
హైదరాబాద్ : రైల్వే మంత్రి అశ్విని వైష్ణవ్ గారితో కేంద్ర బొగ్గు, గనుల శాఖ మంత్రి, తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర బీజేపీ అధ్యక్షుడు జి.కిషన్ రెడ్డి మంగళవారం సమావేశమయ్యారు. ఈ సమావేశంలో తెలంగాణకు సంబంధించిన వివిధ రైల్వే ప్రాజెక్టుల పురోగతిపై చర్చ జరిగింది.
రైల్వే ప్రయాణాన్ని మరింత సులభతరం చేసే లక్ష్యంతో కొత్తతరం మైన్ లైన్ ఎలక్ట్రిక్ మల్టిపుల్ యూనిట్ (MEMU) రైళ్లను త్వరలోనే ప్రవేశపెట్టనున్నట్లు ఈ సందర్భంగా అశ్విని వైష్ణవ్ వివరించారు. 16 నుంచి 20 కోచ్లు ఉండే MEMU రైళ్లను తెలంగాణలోని కాజీపేట రైల్ మ్యానుఫ్యాక్చరింగ్ యూనిట్ (RMU)లో ఉత్పత్తి చేయనున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు.
ఈ MEMU రైళ్లు, గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాలు, సెమీ-అర్బన్ ప్రాంతాలను అనుసంధానించడంలో మరీ ముఖ్యంగా పండగల సమయంలో ప్రయాణీకులకు సౌకర్యవంతంగా ఉంటుందని రైల్వేమంత్రి స్పష్టం చేశారు.
రూ.716 కోట్లతో కాజీపేటలోని రైల్వే మ్యానుఫ్యాక్చరింగ్ యూనిట్ నిర్మాణం పనులు వేగవంతంగా జరుగుతున్నాయి. 2026 జనవరి నాటికి ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు పూర్తి చేయాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో ముందుకెళ్తోంది. మే 2026 నుంచి ఈ కేంద్రం ద్వారా ఉత్పత్తి ప్రారంభం కానుంది.

Hyderabad: Yesterday on 24th June 2025, Union Minister of Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy met Union Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss the various initiatives undergoing in Telangana.
Ashwini Vaishnaw informed G Kishan Reddy that the Indian railways intends to introduce new generation Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trains to enhance short and medium-distance train travel. The new MEMU trains, with 16-20 coaches, will be manufactured at the Rail Manufacturing Unit (RMU) in Kazipet, Telangana, and cater to non-urban and semi-urban areas especially during festive seasons.
The Rail Manufacturing Unit (RMU) in Kazipet is being constructed with a revised cost estimate of Rs 716 crores with a target date of completion of Jan 2026. Further, the activity for production is anticipated to start around May 2026.
