Hyderabad : Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University celebrated Sant Sevalal 287th birth anniversary at its campus on Thursday. Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Vice Chancellor said that Sant Sevalal was a great man who laid the foundations of the ideology of non-violence to show the elevation of the Banjara caste to the world. Prof. Chakrapani, described Sevalal as a great humanitarian and a deity worshipped by the Banjaras. He said that he worked for the welfare of the Banjaras and their self-respect. Sant Sevalal lived an ideal life centuries ago and called on the youth to take Sevalal as an ideal, was recognized as a renowned environmentalist two hundred years ago and his foresight can be understood.

Prof. Bhangya Bhukya, Professor of History of the Central University, attended as the guest speaker in the program. Prof.Bhangya said that Sevalal Maharaj is being praised as a great and respected spiritual figure in the Banjaras of the country. Sevalal Maharaj is revered as a great and respected spiritual figure in the Banjaras of the country. He said that he added spirituality to the culture of the Banjaras, traveled all over the country and preached good things to the society. He said that Sevalal united the Banjara community, which was fragmented all over the country, through his tours. Sevalal was a visionary and philosopher. He explained that he sacrificed his life for the upliftment of the Banjaras by giving spiritual teachings and devotional sermons, and enlightened people with good words. He explained that there is no place in history where he worked for his fame, but that he moved forward with the aim of developing those communities. It was revealed that the photo was made by historians who knew his mentality by imagining the appearance of Sant Sevalal.
Dr. L. Vijaya Krishna Reddy, Registrar presided over the program. He revealed that the glorification of Sant Sevalal as a deity worshipped by Banjara means that his services for the upliftment of those communities are memorable. Dr. Banoth Dharma, Liaison Officer, SC/ST Cell explained the importance of the program and the services of Sant Sevalal to the assembly. Earlier, Bhog Bhandar (Puja program) was organized with devotion and devotion by a large number of Banjara employees under the leadership of Dr. Dharma Nayak. Prof. Anand Pawar, Prof. Chandrakala, Prof. Pramila Ketawat; Prof. Boju Srinivas, Redya Nayak, Maloth Buddha Nayak, Pandu Nayak, Kantham Prema Kumar; Naveen Nayak, All Directors Deans, Heads of the Branches, teaching and non-teaching staff and representatives various services associations were participated in the program.

ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ముఖ్య అతిథిగా విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ఉపకులపతి ఆచార్య ఘంటా చక్రపాణి, అయన మాట్లాడుతూ సంత్ సేవాలాల్ గొప్ప మానవతా వాదిగా, బంజారాల ఆరాధ్య దైవంగా కీర్తి పొందినట్లు వివరించారు. బంజారాల బాగు కోసం, నిరంతరం వాళ్ళ ఆత్మగౌరవం కోసం పని చేశారని పేర్కొన్నారు. శతాబ్దాల క్రితమే సంత్ సేవాలాల్ ఆదర్శ జీవనం గడిపారని, యువత సేవాలాల్ ను ఆదర్శంగా తీసుకోవాలని ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి పిలుపునిచ్చారు. సేవాలాల్ ప్రఖ్యాత పర్యావరణ వేత్తగా రెండు వందల సంవత్సరాల క్రితమే గుర్తింపు పొందడం అంటే ఆయన దూరదృష్టి ని అర్ధం చేసుకోవచ్చని వివరించారు.
బంజారాల ఆరాధ్య దైవం సంత్ సేవాలాల్ మాహారాజ్ : భాంగ్య భుక్య
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో కేంద్రీయ విశ్వవిద్యాలయ చరిత్ర అధ్యాపకులు ప్రొ. భాంగ్య భుక్య ప్రధాన వక్తగా పాల్గొని ప్రసంగించారు. అయన మాట్లాడుతూ సేవాలాల్ మహారాజ్ దేశంలోని బంజారాల ప్రాంతాలలో గొప్ప గౌరవనీయమైన ఆధ్యాత్మిక వ్యక్తిగా కీర్తించ పడుతున్నట్లు ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు. బంజారాల సంస్కృతికి ఆధ్యాత్మికతను జోడిస్తూ, దేశమంతా సంచరిస్తూ, సమాజానికి హితబోధ చేశారన్నారు. దేశమంతా ఛిన్నాభిన్నంగా ఉన్న బంజారా సమాజాన్ని తన పర్యటనల ద్వారా సేవాలాల్ ఏకం చేశారన్నారు. సేవాలాల్ ఒక దార్శనికుడు, తాత్వికవేత్త. ఆధ్యాత్మిక బోధనలు, భక్తి ప్రవచనాలు చెప్పుతూ తన జీవితాన్ని బంజారాల అభ్యున్నతి కోసం త్యాగం చేశారని, మంచి మాటలతో ప్రజలను చైతన్యవంతులను చేశారని వివరించారు. తన కీర్తి కోసం పనిచేసినట్లు చరిత్రలో ఎక్కడా లేదని, ఆ వర్గాల అభివృద్దే లక్ష్యంగా ముందుకెల్లారని వివరించారు. ఆయన మనస్తత్వం తెలిసిన చరిత్రకారులే సంత్ సేవాలాల్ రూపాన్ని ఊహించి ఫోటోను తయారు చేసినట్లు వెల్లడించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రిజిస్ట్రార్ డా. ఎల్. విజయ కృష్ణారెడ్డి అధ్యక్షత వహించారు. ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ బంజారాలా ఆరాధ్య దైవంగా సంత్ సేవాలాల్ కీర్తించ పడటం అంటే ఆ వర్గాల అభ్యున్నతికి ఆయన చేసిన సేవలు చిరస్మరనీయమని వెల్లడించారు. ఎస్సీ ఎస్టీ సెల్ లైసన్ ఆఫీసర్ డా. బానోత్ ధర్మ కార్యక్రమ నిర్వహణ ఆవశ్యకతను, సంత్ సేవాలాల్ సేవలను సభకు వివరించారు.
