హైదరాబాద్ : విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలకు అత్యాధునిక సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానం అవసరమని విశ్రాంత ఐఏఎస్ అధికారి ప్రవీణ్ ప్రకాష్ పేర్కొన్నారు. డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ ఓపెన్ యూనివర్శిటీలో బుధవారం “ఉన్నత విద్యలో డిజిటల్ పరివర్తన” అనే అంశంపై సదస్సు నిర్వహించారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ప్రధాన వక్తగా ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాల విద్యాశాఖ మాజీ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి ప్రవీణ్ ప్రకాష్, ఐఏఎస్, (రిటైర్డ్) పాల్గొని ప్రసంగించారు.
ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ విద్యా మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ ద్వారా క్రెడిట్ ఆధారిత ఆన్లైన్ కోర్సుల కోసం ‘స్వయం’ (SWAYAM) వేదికను ఏర్పాటు చేసారని, ప్రస్తుతం అన్ని విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలు సొంతంగా పూర్తి ఆన్లైన్ డిగ్రీ ప్రోగ్రామ్లను నిర్వహిస్తున్నారని, అదేవిధంగా యూజీసీ మార్గదర్శకాలకు అనుగుణంగా ఉండే ‘లెర్నింగ్ మేనేజ్మెంట్ సిస్టమ్’ (LMS) ద్వారా విద్యార్థులకు విద్యను అందించడానికి సంపూర్ణ అధ్యయన వేదికలను ఏర్పాటు చేసుకున్నారని వివారించారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్న విశ్వవిద్యాలయ వైస్ ఛాన్సలర్ ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి మాట్లాడుతూ విద్య, సంస్థాగత కార్యకలాపాలు, విద్యా బోధన, విద్యార్థుల అనుభవాలు, సంస్థల అభివృద్ధిని సమూలంగా పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరించాలన్నారు. డిజిటల్ సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానాన్ని వినియోగించి సమగ్రమైన, వ్యూహాత్మక మార్పులను మార్చే దిశగా ఎల్లపుడు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాల్సిన అవసరమని ఉందని ప్రొ. ఘంటా చక్రపాణి పేర్కొన్నారు.

BRAOU Organized Lecture On “Digital Transformation of Higher Education”
Hyderabad : Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University organized a lecture program cum Interaction on “Digital Transformation of Higher Education” on Wednesday at the University campus. Praveen Prakash IAS (Retd), Former Principal Secretary of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh participated as the keynote speaker for the program.
He explained that the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has established the SWAYAM platform to facilitate credit-based online courses. He further mentioned that all universities are currently conducting fully online degree programs independently, and have also established a comprehensive learning model to deliver education to students through a Learning Management System (LMS) that complies with UGC guidelines.
