హైదరాబాద్ : దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం 2025–26లో 144.244 మిలియన్ టన్నుల (ఎమ్.టిలు) సరుకు రవాణా సాధించడం ద్వారా అత్యుత్తమ పనితీరును నమోదు చేసింది. ప్రస్తుత ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరం ముగియడానికి ఒక వారం ముందుగానే ఈ మైలురాయిని చేరుకోగలిగింది. ఇది సరుకు రవాణా విభాగంలో దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే ప్రదర్శించిన నిరంతర కృషిని మరియు నిర్వహణ సామర్థ్యాన్ని ప్రతిబింబిస్తుంది. ఈ అత్యుత్తమ పనితీరు 2024–25 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో నమోదైన అత్యుత్తమ లోడింగ్ అయిన 144.14 మిలియన్ టన్నులను అధిగమించింది.
దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే ముఖ్యంగా తన పరిధిలోని సింగరేణి బొగ్గు గనులు మరియు సిమెంట్ కర్మాగారాల నుండి బొగ్గు మరియు సిమెంట్ రవాణా రంగంలో పటిష్టంగా ఉంది. దీనికితోడు జోన్లోని ప్రస్తుత సరుకు రవాణా వ్యవస్థను బలోపేతం చేస్తూనే, సరుకు రవాణా విభాగంలో కొత్త సరుకుల రవాణాను చేర్చడం ద్వారా నూతన ఒరవడులకు శ్రీకారంచుట్టడం జరిగింది.
దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే మొత్తం సరుకు రవాణాకు దోహదపడిన రవాణా వస్తువుల వివరాలు:
రవాణా వ్యవస్థలో ప్రధాన వస్తువు అయిన బొగ్గు- 66.878 మిలియన్ టన్నులు, సిమెంట్- 37.572 మిలియన్ టన్నులు, ఇనుప ఖనిజం- 8.620 మిలియన్ టన్నులు, ఎరువులు- 8.038 మిలియన్ టన్నులు, ఉక్కు కర్మాగారాలకు ముడి పదార్థాలు-4.810 మిలియన్ టన్నులు, ఆహార ధాన్యాలు- 6.225 మిలియన్ టన్నులు, కంటైనర్లు- 2.561 మిలియన్ టన్నులు, పెట్రోలియం ఉత్పత్తులు(పెట్రోలియం ఆయిల్) -1.223 మిలియన్ టన్నులు మరయు ఇతర వస్తువులు- 8.349 మిలియన్ టన్నులు: మొత్తంగా 144.244 మిలియన్ టన్నులు.
దక్షిణ మధ్య రైల్వే సిబ్బంది అసాధారణ సమిష్టి కృషి మరియు అన్ని విభాగాల మధ్య సమర్థవంతమైన సమన్వయం ఫలితంగా రికార్డు స్థాయి పనితీరు సాధ్యమైంది. సరుకు రవాణా వినియోగదారులను ఆకర్షించడానికి మౌలిక సదుపాయాల మెరుగుదల, టెర్మినల్స్లో పని వాతావరణం, గూడ్స్ షెడ్ల అభివృద్ధి వంటి అంశాలపై ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి సారించబడింది. అదనంగా, వినియోగదారుల అవసరాలను సమాయనుసారం పరిష్కరించేందుకు అధికారులు నిరంతరం సంప్రదింపులు జరుపుతున్నారు. సాంప్రదాయ సరుకులతో పాటు ఇతర సరుకులను కూడా గుర్తించి, పోర్ట్ లోడింగ్పై దృష్టి సారించడంలో జోన్ చేసిన నిరంతర ప్రయత్నాలు రికార్డు స్థాయి సరుకు రవాణాను సాధించడానికి దోహదపడ్డాయి.

The Zone Loaded 144.244 Million Tonnes of Freight during the current Financial Year (till 24th March, 2026)
Hyderabad: South Central Railway has recorded it’s best-ever freight loading performance in the current financial year 2025–26, achieving a remarkable 144.244 Million Tonnes (MTs). This milestone was reached a week ahead of the closing of the financial year, reflecting the Zone’s consistent efforts and operational efficiency in freight transportation. This achievement surpasses the previous best loading of 144.14 MTs registered during 2024–25.
South Central Railway has traditionally been strong in loading of coal and cement, particularly from the Singareni collieries and cement factories located in its jurisdiction. In addition to this, the Zone has been taking several proactive measures to diversify its freight basket by attracting new commodities to rail transport.
The commodity-wise loading includes: 66.878 MTs of Coal, 37.572 MTs of Cement, 8.620 MTs of Iron Ore, 8.038 MTs of Fertilizers, 4.810 MTs of Raw materials for steel plants, 6.225 MTs of Food grains, 2.561 MTs of Containers, 1.223 MTs of POL and 8.349 MTs of other commodities totaling to 144.244 Million Tonnes.
The record-breaking performance by the Zone is a result of the exceptional team work by the SCR’s workforce and effective coordination between all the departments. Special focus is being given towards enhancing the infrastructure, work atmosphere at Freight terminals, improvements to Goods Sheds, etc. Simultaneously, regular communication is being maintained by the SCR officials with the freight customers so as to address the requirements of the freight customers within stipulated time. Due to the consistent efforts of the zone in capturing the other commodities and focusing on port loading apart from traditional commodities contributed towards achieving the record freight loading.
Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, SCR appreciated the efforts of operations and commercial teams on achieving this remarkable milestone. He also appreciated other departments like Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, S&T etc for effective coordination which helped in achieving best performance in freight loading. He commended the officers and staff for their commitment and coordinated approach that contributed to recording best-ever freight loading.
