హైదరాబాద్ : విద్యార్ధుల్లో చదువుతో పాటు నైపుణ్యాన్ని పెంచడం, ఉపకారవేతన ఆధారిత విద్యను అందించనున్నట్లు డా. బి.ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయం అందిస్తోందని వైస్ ఛాన్సలర్ ఆచార్య ఘంటా చక్రపాణి వెల్లడించారు. సోమవారం డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయం క్యాంపస్‌లో రిటైల్ సెక్టార్ స్కిల్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియాతో అంబేద్కర్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రిజిస్ట్రార్ డా. ఎల్వీకే రెడ్డి, రిటైల్ సెక్టార్ స్కిల్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా (RASCI) ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ హెడ్ జేమ్స్ రాఫెల్ లు ఉపకులపతి ఆచార్య ఘంటా చక్రపాణి సమక్షంలో అవగాహన ఒప్పందం పై సంతకాలు చేశారు.

అనంతరం విశ్వవిద్యాలయ ఉపకులపతి ఘంటా చక్రపాణి మాట్లాడుతూ రిటైల్ సెక్టార్ స్కిల్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా సంస్థతో అవగాహన ఒప్పందాన్ని కుదుర్చుకున్న మొదటి సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయం డా. బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయమన్నారు. విద్యార్థుల్లో చదువుతో పాటు నైపుణ్యం పెంచేందుకు ఈ అవగాహన ఒప్పందం ఎంతో ఉపయోగపడుతుందని చెప్పారు. స్టైఫండ్ ఆధారిత విద్యను ( స్టైఫండ్ బేస్డ్ అప్రెంటిషిప్ ప్రోగ్రాం – SAP) సద్వినియోగం చేసుకోవాలని విద్యార్ధులను కోరారు.

తెలంగాణలోని ప్రతి గ్రామంలో ఈ కార్యక్రమ ఆవశ్యకతను తెలియజేస్తామని తెలిపారు. త్వరలోనే యూనివర్సిటీ వెబ్ పోర్టల్‌లో వివరాలను పొందుపరుస్తామని వెల్లడించారు. రిటైల్ సెక్టార్ స్కిల్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా తో ఉమ్మడి ప్రవేశ నోటిఫికేషన్ ఇస్తామని పేర్కొన్నారు. ప్రతి విద్యార్థి కి చదువుతో పాటు ఉద్యోగ అవకాశం కల్పించడం, లేదా వాళ్ళను వ్యాపారవేత్తలుగా చేయడమే తమ లక్ష్యమని పేర్కొన్నారు.

ఈ ప్రోగ్రాం లో చేరడం ద్వారా నెలకు కనీసంగా రూ. ఏడు వేల నుంచి గరిష్టంగా 24 వేలు లేదా అంత కంటే ఎక్కువ సంపాదించుకునే అవకాశం ఉందన్నారు. తమ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం నుంచి ఇప్పటికే డిగ్రీ పూర్తి చేసిన వాళ్ళు కూడా అర్హులేనని వెల్లడించారు. ఈ ప్రోగ్రాంలో చేరడానికి 18-28 సంవత్సరాల వయసు గల విద్యార్ధులు అర్హులని పేర్కొన్నారు. తమ విద్యార్ధుల భవిష్యత్ ని దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని రానున్న రోజుల్లో ప్రఖ్యాత సంస్థలతో మరిన్ని అవగాహన ఒప్పందాలను చేసుకోనున్నట్లు వెల్లండించారు.

రిటైల్ సెక్టార్ స్కిల్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా కార్యనిర్వాహక అధిపతి జేమ్స్ రాఫెల్ మాట్లాడుతూ వ్యక్తిగతంగా ప్రతి విద్యార్థికీ ప్రయోజనం కలిగించేందుకు తమ సంస్థ పనిచేస్తుందన్నారు. ఉద్యోగానికి సిద్ధంగా ఉన్న విద్యార్థులను ఎంపిక చేసి వారికి చదువుతున్నప్పుడే ఆర్ధికంగా సహాయ పడేలా స్టయి ఫండ్ అందించనున్నట్లు వెల్లడించారు. వ్యక్తి, సంస్థ, పరిశ్రమ, భారతదేశం (ఫోర్-ఐ ) భావనతో ఈ కోర్సులను రూపొందించామని చెప్పారు. ఈ విధానం ద్వారా డా. బి. ఆర్ అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయ విద్యార్థులకు చాలా ప్రయోజనం కలుగుతుందని పేర్కొన్నారు. వృత్తిపరమైన శిక్షణ విద్యార్ధుల్లో మానసిక, ఆర్ధిక స్థైర్యాన్ని ఇస్తుందని వెల్లడించారు.

రిటైల్ సెక్టార్ స్కిల్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా ప్రతినిధి సమీర్ నర్సాపూర్ మాట్లాడుతూ పరిశ్రమనే ఉత్తమ ఉపాధ్యాయుడు అని పేర్కొన్నారు. వృత్తిపరమైన ప్రమాణాలను రూపొందించుకోవాలని సూచించారు. ఒక నిర్దిష్ట ఉద్యోగంపై పాఠ్యాంశాలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని, పాఠ్యప్రణాళిక, అప్రెంటిషిప్ ఉంటుందని వెల్లడించారు. రిటైల్ సెక్టార్ స్కిల్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా ఇండస్ట్రీ, అకాడమిక్ (సౌత్ రీజియన్) జనరల్ మేనేజర్ చందా వడ్డే మాట్లాడుతూ ఈ ప్రోగ్రాం ద్వారా విద్యార్ధులు ప్రొఫెషనల్‌గా మారడంతో పాటు డిగ్రీ సర్టిఫికెట్ ను కూడా పొందొచ్చని పేర్కొన్నారు. స్థానికంగా ఉండే రిటేయిల్, పెద్ద పెద్ద సంస్థల్లో, బహుళ జాతి సంస్థల మాల్స్ లో పనిచేసేందుకు విద్యార్థులకు చదువుతో పాటు ఆర్ధికంగా వనరులను సమకూర్చుకోవడానికి అవకాశం ఉంటుందని వెల్లడించారు.

విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అకడమిక్ డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. పుష్పా చక్రపాణి మాట్లాడుతూ ఈ కొత్త ప్రోగ్రాంతో ప్రతి విద్యార్థి మరింత ఆర్థికంగా స్వావలంభన సాధించొచ్చని పేర్కొన్నారు. రిజిస్ట్రార్ డా. ఎల్ విజయ కృష్ణా రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ విశ్వవిద్యాలయ అధ్యయన కేంద్రాల సహాయంతో గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాలలో విస్తృత ప్రచారం చేపడుతామని, విద్యార్ధులకు, వారి వారి తల్లిదండ్రులకు అవగాహన్ కల్పిస్తామని పేర్కొన్నారు. రిటైల్ సెక్టార్ స్కిల్ కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా సంస్థ వివరాలను, అవగాహనా ఒప్పంద వివరాలను ఈ.ఎం.ఆర్.ఆర్.సి. డైరెక్టర్ ప్రొ. రవీంద్రనాథ్ సోలమన్ వెల్లడించారు. స్కిల్ డెవలప్మెంట్ సెంటర్ కోఆర్డినేటర్ ప్రొ. పల్లవీ కాబ్డే వందన సమర్పణ చేసారు.

BRAOU LAUNCHES STIPEND BASED APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM (SAP)

Hyderabad: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Retail Sector Skill Council of India (RASCI) a Mumbai based Not for Profit Organization for “Stipend Based Apprenticeship Program (SAP)” at its campus on Monday. The MoU was signed by Registrar, Dr.L.Vijaya Krishna Reddy and James Raphael, Executive Director Retail Sector Skill Council of India RASCI along with other officials in the presence of Prof Ghanta Chakrapani, Vice-Chancellor.

Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani, Vice Chancellor said Dr. B.R. Ambedkar open University is the first university to sign an MoU with the Retail Sector Skill Council of India. He said that this MoU will be very useful in improving the skills of students along with their studies. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar open University is providing scholarship-based education along with academics to enhance skills among students. He urged the students of the open university to take advantage of stipend-based education.

The university officials will reach every study centre in Telangana and inform them about this program. He revealed that the details will be updated on the university website and there a joint admission notification will be issued. He said that the goal of the University is to provide employment opportunities to every student along with their studies and make them entrepreneurs.

As part of this program students can earn a minimum stipend of Rs. 7,000 per month up to a maximum of Rs. 24,000 or more per month. Those who have already completed their degree from this university are also eligible. The students aged between 18 to 28 are eligible to join this program. He also said that keeping in mind the future of our students, we will sign more such MoUs with renowned institutions in the coming days.

James Raphael, Executive Director of the Retail Sector Skill Council of India, said that their organization works to benefit each student individually, we will work together with the educational institution to prepare students who are ready for employment. The programs have been designed with the concept of Individual, Institution, Industry and India (Four-I’s) will be very beneficial to the students of BRAOU, the curriculum will be a combination of educational journey combined with professional experience and understanding of academic theory along with practicality. He also assured that every student will be financially independent and empowered through this program.

Mr. Sameer Narsapur, Head Standards & QA, RASCI, suggested that professional standards should be formulated, keeping in mind the requirements for a specific job role, the syllabus will be aligned with apprenticeship. Ms. Chanda Vadde, General Manager, Industry and Academia, RASCI (South Region) said that students can achieve a degree certificate in addition to becoming professionals landing them more job opportunities. Prof. G. Pushpa Chakrapani, Director Academic; Dr. L. Vijya Krishna Reddy, Registrar; Prof. Rabindranath Solomon, Director EMR&RC; Prof. Pallavi Kabde, Coordinator, Skill Development and Vocational Training Center also spoke on the occasion.
