హైదరాబాద్ : తెలంగాణ జాగృతి అధ్యక్షురాలు, బీఆర్ఎస్ పార్టీ ఎమ్మెల్సీ కల్వకుంట్ల కవిత చేస్తున్న బీసీ ఉద్యమానికి సంపూర్ణ మద్ధతు తెలియజేస్తున్నట్లు జాతీయ బీసీ సంక్షేమ సంఘం అధ్యక్షుడు, ఎంపీ ఆర్ కృష్ణయ్య ప్రకటించారు. తెలంగాణ జాగృతి, యునైటెడ్ ఫూలే ఫ్రంట్ సంయుక్తంగా జూలై 17న తలపెట్టిన రైల్ రోకో కార్యక్రమంతో సహా ప్రతీ కార్యక్రమానికి తాము అండగా నిలిచి పాల్గొంటామని, బీసీలంతా ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత ఉద్యమంలో భాగస్వాములు కావాలని ఆయన పిలుపునిచ్చారు.

ఆదివారం విద్యానగర్ లోని ఆర్ కృష్ణయ్య నివాసంలో ఆయనతో ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత భేటీ అయ్యారు. స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికల్లో బీసీలకు 42 శాతం కల్పించడానికి అసెంబ్లీ పాస్ చేసిన బిల్లును ఆమోదించడం కోసం కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఒత్తిడి పెంచడానికి చేపతుతున్న రైల్ రోకోకు మద్ధతివ్వాలని ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత కోరారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత విలేకరులతో మాట్లాడుతూ… అనేక ప్రజాస్వామిక, సామాజిక ఉద్యమాలను కృష్ణయ్య నడిపించారని కొనియాడారు. కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ఇచ్చిన కామారెడ్డి బీసీ డిక్లరేషన్ అమలు కోసం రెండు సంవత్సరాలుగా పెద్ద ఎత్తున పోరాటం చేస్తున్నామని తెలిపారు. ముఖ్యంగా బీసీలకు స్థానిక సంస్థల్లో 42 శాతం రిజర్వేషన్ల కోసం పోరాటం చేసిన దానికి ఫలితంగా రెండు బిల్లులను అసెంబ్లీ ఆమోదించిందని గుర్తు చేశారు.

అయితే, రాజ్యాంగంలోని 243(డీ) ప్రకారం ఒక జీవో ఇచ్చి 42 శాతం రిజర్వేషన్లు కల్పించే ఆస్కారం ఉన్నప్పటికీ ప్రభుత్వం ఆ పని చేయకుండా నెపాన్ని మొత్తం రాష్ట్రపతిపై తోసేసి రిజర్వేషన్లు ఇవ్వకుండా ఎన్నికల్లోకి వెళ్లే ప్రణాళిక రచించడం శోచనీయమన్నారు. కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం బీసీల పట్ల ప్రేమను మాటల్లో వరకే పరిమితం చేస్తూ చేతల్లో చూపించడం లేదని విమర్శించారు. కేబినెట్ సమావేశంలో స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికలపై నిర్ణయం తీసుకునే అవకాశం ఉందని లీకులు ఇస్తున్న నేపథ్యంలో ప్రజా వ్యతిరేక విధానాన్ని కలిసికట్టుగా ఎదుర్కోవాల్సిన అవసరం ఉన్నదని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. కేంద్ర రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలపై ఒత్తిడి పెంచాలంటే ప్రజా ఉద్యమాలే మార్గంగా కనిపిస్తోందని, కాబట్టి రైల్ రోకో చేపడుతున్నామని వివరించారు ఓర్ ఏక్ ధక్కా-బీసీ బిల్లు పక్కా అని స్పష్టం చేశారు.

ఆర్ కృష్ణయ్య మాట్లాడుతూ…. ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత బీసీలకు అండగా నిలచి ఉద్యమం చేస్తున్నారని, బీసీలంతా ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత ఉద్యమంలో పెద్ద ఎత్తున భాగస్వాములయ్యి మద్ధతగా నిలవాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. తరతరలాలుగా అన్యాయం జరుగుతున్న బీసీల కోసం కవిత పోరాటం అభినందనీయమని పేర్కొన్నారు. “ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత ఉద్యమం ఎవరి కోసం చేస్తున్నారు ? మన కోసమే కదా కాబట్టి ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత ఉద్యమానికి మనమంతా అండగా ఉండాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. ఈ ఉద్యమాన్ని మనం భుజన ఎత్తుకోకపోతే మనకు భవిష్యత్తు లేదు” అని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.

స్థానిక సంస్థల్లో రిజర్వేషన్ల శాతాన్ని నిర్ణయించే అధికారం రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి రాజ్యాంగం ఇచ్చింది, కానీ దాన్ని ప్రభుత్వం తోసిపుచ్చుతూ ప్రజల దృష్టిని మళ్లీస్తోందని ఆరోపించారు. 42 శాతం రిజర్వేషన్లు కల్పించాలన్న చిత్తశుద్ది ఉంటే జీవో జారీ చేయాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు. రిజర్వేషన్లు ఇవ్వకుండా ఎన్నికలు నిర్వహిస్తే బీసీలకు చారిత్రక ద్రోహం చేసినట్లవుతుందని స్పష్టం చేశారు. పోరాటం చేయకపోతే భవిష్యత్తులో బీసీల రిజర్వేషన్లు తగ్గిపోయే ప్రమాదం ఉందని హెచ్చరించారు. తాడోపేడో తేల్చుకోవాల్సిన సందర్భం వచ్చిందని స్పష్టం చేశారు.

రిజర్వేషన్లు పెంచకపోతే బీసీలు ప్రభుత్వాన్ని వదిలిపెట్టే ప్రసక్తే లేదని తేల్చిచెప్పారు. తప్పనిసరిగా బీసీలకు 42 శాతం రిజర్వేషన్లు కల్పించిన తర్వాతే ఎన్నికలు జరపాలని, లేదంటే రాష్ట్రంలో యుద్ధమే జరుగుతుందని హెచ్చరించారు. కార్యక్రమంలో యూపీఎఫ్ కన్వీనర్ బొల్లా శివశంకర్, కో ఆర్డినేటర్ అలకుంట హరి, తెలంగాణ జాగృతి ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి నవీన్ అచారి, నాయకులు సత్యం తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Hyderabad : President of the National BC Welfare Association and MP R. Krishnaiah has extended his full support for the Backward Classes (BC) movement being led by Telangana Jagruti President and BRS party MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha. He stated that the association would stand firmly with and participate in every program, including the “Rail Roko” scheduled for July 17, jointly organized by Telangana Jagruti and United Phule Front. He urged all BCs to become stakeholders in MLC Kavitha’s movement.

On Sunday, MLC Kavitha met with R. Krishnaiah at his residence in Hyderabad. MLC Kavitha requested his support for the “Rail Roko” program, which aims to pressure the central government to approve the bill passed by the assembly to provide 42 per cent reservation for BCs in local body elections.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, MLC Kavitha lauded R Krishnaiah for leading numerous democratic and social movements. She stated that they have been fighting vigorously for two years to implement the Kamareddy BC Declaration given by the Congress party. She recalled that as a result of their struggle for 42 per cent reservation for BCs in local bodies, the assembly had passed two bills.

However, she criticized the government, stating that despite the possibility of providing 42 per cent reservations through a GO under Article 243(D) of the Constitution, the government is not doing so and is instead shifting the blame entirely onto the President, planning to go into elections without providing reservations. She accused the Congress government of limiting its love for BCs to words and not showing it in actions.

She expressed the need to collectively confront this anti-people policy, especially with leaks suggesting that the cabinet meeting might decide on local body elections. She explained that public movements appear to be the only way to pressure both central and state governments, hence the “Rail Roko” initiative. She declared, “Oar Ek Dhakka-BC Bill Pakka…”

R Krishnaiah stated that MLC Kavitha is standing by the BCs and leading a movement, and he called upon all BCs to participate widely and support MLC Kavitha’s movement. He praised Kavitha’s struggle for the BCs, who have been subjected to injustice for generations. He remarked, “For whom is MLC Kavitha doing this movement? Isn’t it for us? Therefore, we all need to support MLC Kavitha’s movement. If we don’t take up this movement, we have no future.”

He alleged that the state government is diverting public attention by rejecting the fact that the Constitution grants the state government the authority to determine the percentage of reservations in local bodies. He demanded that a GO be issued if there is genuine commitment to provide 42 per cent reservations. He warned that holding elections without providing reservations would be a historic betrayal of the BCs.

He unequivocally stated that if reservations are not increased, the BCs will not let go of the government. He warned that elections must be held only after providing 42 per cent reservations for BCs, otherwise, there would be a “war” in the state.
