Hyderabad : The momentous celebration of the centenary of Prof I V Chalapati Rao was jointly organised yesterday by Triveni Foundation and Yabaluri Raghaviah Memorial Trust. It was hosted at the Conference Hall of Butterfly Edufields, Secunderabad.
Sri M Gopalakrishna, IAS, Retired Special Chief Secretary, Government of Andhra Pradesh was the Chief Guest. The trustees of Triveni Foundation, family members, many friends and admirers of Prof Rao participated in the event.
Rich tributes were paid to Prof Chalapati Rao for his notable contributions in education, literary and cultural fields. He played a stellar role as the Chief Editor of Triveni Journal for over two decades. The participants fondly recalled their memorable association with the legendary personality and how he inspired them and three generations of all his associates.
His writings will continue to impart morals and ethics in the society, they averred. The program ended with felicitations and fellowship.
