Kishan Reddy, Raise Singareni Pension to ₹10,000 if You Care: MP Vamsi Krishna Challenges
Mancherial: Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna has vowed to continue his fight in Parliament until the pension of Singareni workers is increased to ₹10,000. The MP made this strong commitment while addressing a programme organised at Padmanayaka Function Hall in Mancherial district headquarters on Saturday, where appointment letters were distributed to dependents of Singareni employees declared medically unfit. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka attended as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna recalled the pivotal role played by late Union Minister Kaka Venkataswamy in saving Singareni during its financial crisis and introducing the pension scheme for its workers. “I will consistently raise the issues of Singareni workers in Parliament and continue my struggle until the pension is hiked to ₹10,000,” Vamsi Krishna asserted. Challenging Union Minister Kishan Reddy, the MP asked, “If you truly care about Singareni workers, do you have the courage to take steps on behalf of the Central Government to raise their pension to ₹10,000?”

He highlighted that Telangana state itself became a reality due to the sacrifices and struggles of Singareni workers during the statehood movement. He urged officials to adopt a more humane and prompt approach while addressing workers’ issues.Vamsi Krishna made a special appeal to Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to conduct medical boards regularly and expedite the process of providing dependent jobs to eligible family members. State Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, and Adluri Laxman Kumar, along with several MLAs, Singareni labour leaders, CMD, General Managers, and District Collector Kumar Deepak participated in the event.
