Hyderabad: Former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir called on AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and other senior leaders at the AICC Headquarers in New Delhi on Friday. He also met Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah who was in Delhi to meet the Congress leaders.
Shabbir Ali felicitated both the leaders and congratulated them for the historic victory in recent Assembly elections. Later, he had a detailed interaction with the Congress president on the political situation in Telangana.
He shared that AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge was particularly grateful for the instrumental role played by Telugu and minority voters in the party’s triumph in the latest Karnataka Assembly elections. He accentuated that the party’s success in constituencies with a significant population of Telugu speakers and minorities demonstrated their faith in the Congress party – a sentiment that should be echoed in Telangana.
Shabbir Ali revealed the party’s intentions to devise a targeted approach to engage voters from minority communities. He announced that a strategic blueprint is in the works, set for imminent finalization by the Congress leadership. Expressing confidence in the party’s robust presence across Telangana, inclusive of active workers at the polling booth level, he pledged to reinforce this outreach and formulate an effective strategy to win the forthcoming Assembly elections.
He said that BRS Govt headed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has cheated all sections of the society and they would pick the Congress party in the next elections.
