Hyderabad : BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao today asked party leaders and workers to work hard for the party victory and expressed confidence that the BJP would win Mayor’s position whenever elections for GHMC would be held in Hyderabad.
He was addressing party workers at state office here. Rao said the people are looking towards BJP and they have supported the party in the local body elections. He called party workers to draw attention of people by intensifying the fight on local issues.
The infrastructure problems in Hyderabad city were severe with many areas still lacking full-fledged development, facing issues like narrow streets, shortage of drinking water facilities and a chaotic drainage system, the BJP chief said and alleged that just a little rain was enough to cause several areas and colonies to be submerged in floodwaters in many municipalities and wards under the GHMC’s jurisdiction.

Rao said the delimitation process undertaken by the Congress government will increase the tax burden on the people in the areas newly merged into the GHMC. The irrational and unscientific decision taken by the state government would not benefit the public at all except for its political gains and appeasement of its ally party MIM, he alleged.
Stressing a need to agitate against anti-people decision of Congress government in coordination with the people of the affected areas, Rao urged all BJP workers to remain vigilant regarding the geographical political changes and prepare for a collective struggle.
