Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Urges Voters to Teach Congress a Lesson in MLC Elections

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, remarked that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has lost his courage and spirit. During the MLC election campaign in Chennur, Mancherial district, Bandi Sanjay questioned, “Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, have you lost your courage? Do you not have any spirit left? On the day of your child’s wedding, didn’t you say that the KCR government illegally arrested you and put you in jail? Didn’t you declare that you would take revenge? Now, you are the Chief Minister. You claimed that there is evidence of KCR’s family’s involvement in the Kaleshwaram, phone tapping, drugs, and Formula E race scams. Why haven’t you arrested anyone even after 14 months? Is it because you’ve truly lost your courage? Or did KCR strike a deal with the Congress high command in Delhi to weaken the growing BJP in Telangana by secretly collaborating with BRS and diluting the cases?”

During a meeting held at Ketan Palli MNR Garden in Chennur with BJP in-charges of Mancherial district, Bandi Sanjay guided BJP MLA Venkataramana Reddy, BJP-backed graduate candidate Anji Reddy, former MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, and local leaders on the election strategies to ensure the victory of the BJP MLC candidate. Key points from his speech included:

Under Congress rule, farmers, employees, graduates, and teachers are suffering. The six guarantees were not implemented. Fee reimbursement dues were not cleared, forcing college administrations to the brink of closure. Tomorrow, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is visiting the Mancherial district. I am requesting the release of fee reimbursement dues… If this is not done, it is shameful that local MLAs are threatening people not to attend the CM’s meeting.

Congress is facing a shortage of candidates, which is evident from the fact that they had to bring in an outsider as their graduate candidate. For the other two constituencies, they couldn’t even find candidates. BRS is staying out of the race to help Congress win. This is because BRS wants to avoid arrests in scam cases by striking a secret deal with Congress.

Although Revanth Reddy himself claimed that there is strong evidence of BRS leaders’ involvement in Kaleshwaram, farmhouse drugs, phone tapping, and Formula E race scams, he is protecting them by not making any arrests. Even KCR’s visit to Delhi to negotiate with Congress high command has led to the dilution of these cases.

KCR sent Revanth Reddy to jail back then. He was arrested and put behind bars on his child’s wedding day. But why is he not arresting KCR’s family even after they have been involved in massive scams? Has Revanth Reddy lost his courage and spirit? It is shameful that he is joining hands with BRS to suppress the growing BJP in Telangana.

In 14 months of Congress rule, people have suffered immensely. They promised to fill 2 lakh job vacancies within a year. They said they would provide an unemployment allowance of ₹4,000 per month. It has been 14 months, and ₹56,000 is pending. Loan waivers haven’t been fully implemented. There is no sign of Rythu Bharosa.

BJP fought for the people. BJP took baton charges for teachers. BJP shed blood and broke limbs fighting for the unemployed. When I was fighting on behalf of the people, they filed a Hindi paper leak case against me, arrested me at midnight, and put me in jail. When I went to the united Nalgonda district to understand the farmers’ issues regarding paddy procurement, BRS thugs tried to scare me by pelting stones. Near Thungathurthi, they tried to burn us alive by pouring petrol and kerosene at the function hall where we were staying. Yet, we fought bravely without fear.

People should think about what they gained by voting for Congress, which never participated in any movement, instead of supporting BJP, which fought for them. Remember the suffering of people deceived by Congress and the struggles of BJP workers. There is no increase in Aasara pensions. No Rythu Bharosa. Loan waivers were incomplete. 2 lakh job vacancies were not filled. Teachers’ issues remain unresolved. The education system is in disarray. There isn’t even money to buy chalk pieces. Retired employees are being harassed without receiving their benefits. Last year, 8,000 retired, and this year another 10,000 are expected to retire. To pay their benefits, ₹11,000 crore is required, but there’s no money. Since they can’t pay, the government is planning to increase the retirement age to 65 years. If BJP candidates are elected, we take responsibility for leading the fight on these issues.

I am asking directly. What did you get by trusting Congress and voting for them? In 14 months of governance, they didn’t implement the 6 guarantees. No new ration cards. Not a single house was given. No new pensions were provided. Not a single issue was resolved. That’s why even leaders from Congress want their MLC candidate to lose in this election. I am appealing to graduate and teacher voters: If you want to teach Congress a lesson for its betrayals, defeat their candidates in the MLC elections.
